Honkai Impact 3rd has been around since 2016 and hasn't aged particularly well compared to later games from the developer. The stiff translations and the clunky dated combat in the early game make it difficult to get into in 2024. But thankfully, HoYoverse doesn't want to leave its beloved project in the dust. Last year, HoYoverse announced Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 would launch in late February; fast forward, it's here, and we've put it through its paces to report on what you can expect when playing on your favorite Android gaming phone.

One of Android's best gacha games is about to receive a major update in 2024. Honkai Impact 3rd will kick off part two in February of next year. Some of you may have been patiently awaiting Zenless Zone Zero news, but with this massive update rekindling Honkai Impact 3rd's storyline, you might be waiting a while. HoYoverse has a deep history with Honkai Impact, and only recently has Honkai Impact 3rd concluded its first arc.

We learned last week that the latest high-profile gacha game Punishing: Gray Raven would be coming to Android in North America, Europe, South-East Asia, and Australia on July 16th. Well, after a brief pre-load period over the last 24-hours, the game's servers are now live, which means the game is officially available. This is an action RPG, somewhat similar to miHoYo Limited's titles. Essentially the game offers Genshin Impact's graphical polish paired with Honkai Impact's gameplay. It's a sight to behold, though this is still a gacha game, so all of the downsides expected of the genre are here too.
