The Google Home Max, with its impressive volume and audio quality, represents the company's top-tier entry into the smart speaker market. High-end audio products are rarely affordably priced, and the Google Home Max was no exception when it launched at $400 back in 2017. Since then, the Home Max has had its price permanently cut by $100, and buyers can now save an additional $50 when picking up this beast of a smart speaker for only $250 at retailers including Best Buy, B&H, and, of course, Google's online store.
The Home Max is Google's biggest smart speaker offering, and it debuted in late 2017 for a princely $399. Unsurprisingly, prices have since fallen. Right now you can pick a Home Max up for just 9, a little over half of its original MSRP, from Beach Camera via Rakuten with a promo code.
When the big Nest rebranding hit Google, products like the Home Hub saw their names changed to the Google Nest Hub, confusingly differentiating them as separate from the "Home" series smart speakers that they have more in common with than any "Nest" branded hardware. Initially, it seemed like all of Google's "Home" branded stuff would be changed to "Google Nest," but Google later confirmed to us that its speakers would not follow this change. Apparently, no one told the @madebygoogle Twitter account that.
Earlier this month, we saw online retailer Tink offer the Home Max and Home Mini together for $242. In case you missed that sale, Tink is offering this same bundle yet again, but this time for 2 with a promo code. That's $8 less than the previous sale and $114 off retail prices.
Although Google's smart home devices have been going on sale several times in the past, the company is currently discounting almost the entire Home range, including the Nest Hub smart display. This is a great opportunity to get an extra intelligent device in your household, or even to buy your first one if you don't have one already.

Yesterday, eBay created a 15% discount code that was able to be used on basically anything on the site. Rakuten's site-wide 20% code seems to be in direct response to that, but since Black Friday pricing is now in effect, even better deals can be had here. Those include an $88 Home Hub and a $290 Home Max, among other items.
Google has just pushed out what we expect to be the last of Thanksgiving season's deals. For Cyber Monday Google has killed the previous $150-200 discounts for the Pixel 3 and 3 XL, replacing them with a new promo that features a free Home Hub plus in Google Store credit. Other discounts include a Daydream View for $40, customizable Pixel cases for $20 off, and a sort of smart home starter kit that comes with a Home Hub, Home, and Wifi three-pack for a hair under $450.
This might come as a surprise to some of you, but Google's Home products aren't available in very many countries. In fact, availability is actually fairly restricted, especially on the Home Max. Until May, the biggest Home speaker was only available in the US, though Canada and Australia have since joined the list. Now, the Home Max is arriving in the UK, France, and Germany.
We're just hours away from one of the biggest shopping days in the world of online deal-finding, as Amazon gets ready to kick off its annual Prime Day savings this coming Monday, July 16. But even as so many of us get ready to snag those offers the moment they land, there's still been some decent deal action in the days leading up to Prime Day. Let's take a look at some of the better sales to arrive this past week.
Google released the Home Max near the end of last year, but there's still only one country it's officially available in: the United States. That changes today, though; the Home Max is now being sold in the Great White North at a price of $499 CAD (~$389 USD).
Google's new Home Max speaker is pretty great. It can become deafeningly loud, and includes Google Assistant. The only downside is the price - $400 is quite a lot for a speaker. It looks like Google is trying to sell more of them, because the company has placed a small ad for the Home Max on Chrome's New Tab Page.
Like many Google products, the Home Max isn't easy to find at a discount, especially given its very recent entry to the market. However, Verizon Business is offering a Home Max and Home Mini bundle for just $337.48, or $112.50 off the combined MSRPs of both Home devices. That's pretty nuts. Unfortunately, you will need access to a Verizon Business (B2B) account to take advantage of this deal. And no, your run-of-the-mill Verizon account won't do.
