Not to be outdone by the spring sale from Amazon that we took a look a yesterday, the Google Store is running a promotion in the UK right now that sees many of its Home products heavily discounted. Most of the prices are as good as on Black Friday weekend, but the £100 off the Home Max is even better. It's not just Google's own hardware either, as a selection of Nest cameras and thermostats are also on offer.

Google drops price of a single Wifi to $99 at all retailers

If you've been thinking about expanding your Google Wifi network but didn't want to cough up the extra $129 for one, you're in luck. Google appears to have permanently dropped the price of a single unit to $99, which is $30 less than before. The 3-pack also appears to have been re-priced to $259.

Google stops selling the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL on its store

Although the Pixel 2 came out in 2017, it's still a very relevant device today. In fact, several of our staff use it as their everyday phone and are quite happy with it. Owners can also get an early view at Android Q, so it makes a lot of sense people would still want to buy one, especially when you can get it for $300 off. Google, however, thinks it's time for buyers to consider purchasing the newer Pixel 3 and is taking the older version off its store's shelves.

[Update x2: Also on Fi] Google drops Pixel 3 prices even further, both models now $200 off

The first two generations of Pixel phones rarely saw price drops, outside of carrier-exclusive deals from Verizon and Google Fi. However, the 2018 Pixels have now been on sale several times, most recently earlier this month when both models were $150 off. Now the Pixel 3 and 3 XL are $200 off, bringing the Pixel 3 down to $599 and the Pixel 3 XL down to $699. That's the steepest discount we've seen on any Pixel phone in a long time, especially for the unlocked variants.

Titan Security Key no longer available from the Google Store

For years, Google has been on a mission to make sure you're the only one that can access your online accounts. The company released the Titan Security Key Bundle last year, as a two-factor authentication key for Google accounts (as well as any other FIDO U2F-compatible service). However, the key may have been discontinued, as the Google Store page now says "No longer available."

The Pixel 3 and 3 XL are $150 off on the Google Store

During last year's Black Friday, Google dropped the price of the Pixel 3 and 3 XL by $200 and $150, respectively. If you missed out on that deal, the company has once again dropped the price of its flagship phones. The Pixel 3 now starts at $649 ($150 off) for 64GB of storage, and the Pixel 3 XL starts at $749 ($150 off) for the same amount of storage.
