We've been seeing a ton of deals on the Home Mini lately, namely with the $29 price drop 'til the end of 2017, the $4 deal through Walmart and Google Express, and more. Google even offered them for free with Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL purchases again. Now Nest and Google are handing free Home Minis out to those who purchase a Nest product for over $99.

Google adds Nest Thermostat E, Secure Alarm System, Connect, and Cam IQ outdoor to the Google Store

When Google recently decided to sell only company-made hardware in the Google Store, Nest products were kept in stock. That's not exactly a surprise, given that it's a subsidiary of Alphabet, just like Google. Now the lineup of Nest security cameras, thermostats, and other smart home security accessories sold in the Google Store is expanding.

Google Daydream View (2017) is now available from Google Store in France, Italy, and Spain for €109

The new Daydream View VR headset went on sale here in 'Murica around two weeks ago. But products like these tend to have a little delay in availability in overseas countries, as evidenced by the Pixel 2 XL only having gone on sale in Italy and Spain three days ago. Now, the 2017 model of the Daydream View is up for grabs in those two countries, as well as France, for €109.

Pixel 2 XL, but not Pixel 2, now sold on Google Store in Italy and Spain

Google's hardware has always been difficult to purchase, if you happen to live outside of a handful of countries. The original Pixels were only sold by Google in six regions - Australia, Canada, Germany, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, and the United States. The Pixel 2 and 2 XL were originally limited to those regions as well, but now the XL is expanding to Italy and Spain.

Google drops the price of Type-C to headphone adapter from $20 to $9

I have bad news, and I have good news. The bad news is headphone jacks are dying, and Google is helping to kill them. That means you need adapters to keep using your existing audio devices with 3.5mm jacks. The good news is you can buy a Type-C adapter on the Google Store for much less money than you could a few days ago. Silver lining, and all that.

Google adds 'About' and 'Store' links to top left of homepage

These days, we don't see the actual 'Google.com' as much as we used to, thanks to the search functionality built into the URL bars of pretty much every browser. But after its October 4th event where the Pixel 2, Home Mini, Home Max, and many more were announced, the homepage got two new links added to the top left: About and Store.

[Update: Googler confirms Google Store now only stocks in-house hardware] Android Wear section vanishes from Google Store, with LG Watch Sport and Style now showing as "no longer available"

Android Wear isn't an especially popular platform these days, but plenty of people still use it - enough for Google to have released two new smartwatches, the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style, earlier this year. But just eight months after their release, the Android Wear page has disappeared from the Google Store's home page. And more interestingly, both the Watch Sport and Watch Style are now marked as "no longer available."
