[Update: Austria] Google Opinion Rewards is now available in Switzerland

Hé, les Suisses, vous étiez jaloux des Français et de leur accès à Google Opinion Rewards? Bah maintenant, il n'y a plus aucune raison de rester envieux: Opinion Rewards est disponible en Suisse!

Of the national languages in Switzerland, I only speak French, so excuse me if I can't write that sentence above in German, Italian, or Romansh. But I'll translate the general sentiment to English for those of you who are still reading me: Google Opinion Rewards is now available in Switzerland.

According to a couple of tips we've received, the app is now downloadable from the Play Store in Switzerland and users can sign up, start answering surveys, and earn a little bit of cash for each of them. Four languages are available for surveys: French, Italian, German, and English.

Google is using Opinion Rewards questions to improve YouTube video recommendations

If you've never used Google Opinion Rewards, it's an app from Google that periodically sends you surveys and rewards you with Play Store credit. Most questions are usually location-based, asking if you've been to a certain place recently and how you would rate it. But it looks like Google may be using Opinion Rewards to improve YouTube video recommendations.

Earlier today, I received a survey asking about my YouTube history. It's worth noting that if you have YouTube Watch History disabled, you won't get these surveys.

Really: Opinion Rewards survey asks if you'd like on-demand Wi-Fi drones to download movies on the go

If I were to walk up to you on the street and ask, "Excuse me, Android Police reader... What if a drone-based service existed to facilitate video download for poor internet connection (see image below for an overview of how it could work). Would you be interested," you might respond in one of several ways.

  • "David, you forgot the question mark."
  • "David, what image below? Below what? The ground?"
  • "David, what drugs have you consumed recently? May I have some?"

And I would grant you that all of the above responses would be quite reasonable given the inquiry I have just posed you, hapless person on the street.

Google Opinion Rewards Is Asking Users About Possible Names For Android N

Every time there's a new version of Android on the horizon, there's also a rash of speculation as to what dessert Google will use for its next codename. For Android N, now in an early and promising developer preview, the situation is no different. Android fans seem stuck on "Nutella," which would mean another licensed deal like the one with the KitKat rollout, though it's at least faintly possible that Google will use the name of an Indian dessert, as CEO Sundar Pichai hinted in a question and answer session. He also said in that same session that Google might conduct an online poll for future Android codenames...

Google Opinion Rewards Is Now Available In Spain

Last Tuesday I got a top of the line McLaren F1 from earning $16020 these last four weeks while working 3–4 hours a day, all in the comfort of my living room couch. This is definitely the coolest work I have ever done. Without any question it's the most financially rewarding I've had. I started this 4 months ago and practically straight away began to bring home over $97 per hour. Visit this weblink to start immediately.

Alright, I'm kidding.

Google Is Apparently Curious If You Would Like To Turn Your OnHub Into A Paper Towel Holder

OnHub is Google's attempt at a router that's easy to set up and, unlike most others, pretty enough to leave out in the open. But it could be prettier. Rather than roll out new hardware this early in the game, Google seems to be interested in producing new cases—or shells—to replace the blue one that comes with the device.

At least one person has completed a Google Opinion Rewards survey (Google's way of acquiring user feedback in exchange for Play Store credit) asking questions about the OnHub. Particularly, would you be interested in purchasing one of three potential shells, and what price would you consider reasonable?
