Gmail app now alerts you to deleted messages from threads, gives option to view

The desktop/web version of Gmail has been undergoing a lot of changes in recent months, but the Android app, in comparison, has languished a bit. At least one feature from its desk-bound counterpart is trickling down to mobile, though. Dropbox's new Gmail Add-on makes file sharing quicker and easier

Back in March of last year, Google announced Gmail Add-ons for G Suite customers. It took another seven months for the Add-ons to actually debut, at which point ten apps were launched. All G Suite accounts will be migrated to the new Gmail starting in October

After Google officially introduced the new Gmail, they put an approximate timeline on when G Suite users would have no choice but to use it: "about 12 weeks" after everybody got the option to opt into it. The company has now announced that beginning on October 16, G Suite users will no longer be able to opt out of the new experience, and shortly thereafter, they'll be automatically transitioned to it.

New Gmail interface to roll out to everyone in July
