[Update: Now available] SimpleRockets 2 is coming to Android, and you can pre-register right now

SimpleRockets 2 recently arrived on the Play Store as a pre-registration listing. It comes from Jundroo, the same developer behind the successful simulation games SimpleRockets and SimplePlanes. Currently, SimpleRockets 2 is available on Steam as an early-access release, but the recent pre-reg listing on the Play Store should mean that we can expect the rocket space sim to land on Android sometime soon.

Tropico is officially available on Android, so put on your dictator hat and get ready to rule with an iron fist

Last month we learned that the construction management sim Tropico was finally coming to Android, and today I'm here to let everyone know that the title is officially available on the Google Play Store. Despite its name, this is actually a mobile port of Tropico 3 that has been available on iOS since 2018, and today Android users can finally get in on the fun, all thanks to Feral Interactive.

Pokémon Masters has landed on Android, filled with loot boxes and IAPs

Pokémon Masters has landed on Android, filled with loot boxes and IAPs

Pokémon Masters has arrived, and while the release was slightly unexpected, the date falls in line with the previously announced summer-release window. Of course, this isn't a mainline Pokémon game, since it comes from DeNA, the same company behind Nintendo's Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. As expected, Pokémon Masters is a free-to-play release packed with in-app purchases and loot boxes, and this time around, instead of collecting adorable creatures, you'll spend your time collecting trainers to play through 3v3 battles, similar in style to the many MARVEL Strike Force clones already available on the Play Store.

Gears POP is Microsoft's take on Clash Royale, and it's available today on the Play Store

Gears POP is Microsoft's take on Clash Royale, and it's available today on the Play Store

Earlier this week, we learned that Microsoft would bring its Funko-Pop-themed Gears of War spinoff to Android on August 22nd. Now that Gears POP is here, it's quite clear that this strategy game was designed to play very similarly to Clash Royale. The setup is almost exactly the same. You'll work your way up the field by sending out an assortment of troops to take down your opponent's turrets and base. It's a standard free-to-play real-time multiplayer title with a Funko-Pop Gears of War skin, and yes, it's packed with in-app purchases, multiple currencies, wait timers, and loot boxes.

Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare and its free-to-play mecha combat charges onto the Play Store

Earlier this month we learned that Bandai Namco would bring its collection-based Gunpla battle game to Android before the summer was over, and at the time an iOS listing offered a clue that August 21st would be the expected release date. It would appear that Bandai has pulled the trigger a little early. As of this morning, the English version of Gundam Battle is officially available on the Google Play Store.

[Update: Now available] Atmospheric puzzle game Pavilion coming to more Android devices July 23

[Update: Out now] Orangepixel's latest platformer Gunslugs: Rogue Tactics is available for pre-registration

It would appear that Orangepixel has been working on Gunslugs: Rogue Tactics for quite some time. It was first announced in 2017, and now the game is finally available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store. Unlike the previous two run 'n gun titles in the series, this upcoming release contains stealthy and tactical action as well as a few roguelike features, which should allow players to tackle the platforming-based gameplay in many different ways.

[Update: Out now, and it's awful] The Gang Sells Out: 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' is getting a mobile game

[Update: Out now, and it's awful] The Gang Sells Out: 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' is getting a mobile game

That's right, a TV show that has in the past ridiculed the addictiveness of online video games is actually jumping on the mobile gaming bandwagon with little to no sense of irony. Not only is It’s Always Sunny: The Gang Goes Mobile an actual free-to-play Android game set to release later this year, but it will include questionable mechanics such as collecting fan-favorite characters. As if the last two seasons of the TV show weren't bad enough, now we can expect this blatant cash grab to hit the Play Store before the year is out.

Medieval cemetery management sim Graveyard Keeper is out on Android

Medieval cemetery management sim Graveyard Keeper is out on Android

The comparisons of Graveyard Keeper to the fan-favorite farming life simulator Stardew Valley are many, and rightfully so, because both games look and play very similarly. Of course, Graveyard Keeper offers a much darker theme since you'll spend the majority of your time maintaining a graveyard while facing the many ethical dilemmas the fall upon the position of a cemetery manager living in the middle ages.
