LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is a F2P collect-a-thon RPG, now available on the Play Store (Update)

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is a F2P collect-a-thon RPG, now available on the Play Store (Update)

For some reason, LEGO has been busy this year lending out its brand to nefarious developers. Last week LEGO Star Wars Battles was announced, and it appears to be a free-to-play Clash Royale clone from Warner Bros. Today Gameloft's LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed arrived on the Play Store for pre-registration, and it looks like a MARVEL Strike Force clone. Before this year, LEGO usually concentrated its efforts on quality games offered for free to advertise its brand, but now it would seem that the company is perfectly comfortable sullying its namesake to earn a quick buck off of the children that enjoy its toyline.

Dragon Quest of the Stars is available for download a day early, but you can't play it yet (Update: Out now)

Square Enix has revealed this morning that its mobile RPG Dragon Quest of the Stars is officially available on the Google Play Store for pre-download. We last heard about Dragon Quest of the Stars back in January when Square announced that the title was available for pre-registration and that it would be officially released on February 25th. Well, clearly today isn't the 25th, but you can indeed install Dragon Quest of the Stars a day early if you'd like to prepare for tomorrow's release.

3D puzzle adventure The House of Da Vinci 2 is out on the Play Store

3D puzzle adventure The House of Da Vinci 2 is out on the Play Store

The House of Da Vinci is a well-received, crowd-funded puzzle adventure game that lets you take the role of Leonardo da Vinci's promising apprentice. After your master's disappearance, you have to comb through his house to find clues on what happened to him. Four years after the original title, the Slovakian indie studio Blue Brain Games has now released the aptly-named follow-up on the Play Store, The House of Da Vinci 2. It follows mostly the same successful mechanics from the first title, only this time, you're going to travel through time to observe a "series of mysterious events that led to the greatest discovery in human history."

Little Misfortune is a beautiful adventure game that's finally made its way from PC to Android

Little Misfortune comes from Killmonday Games, the same developer behind Fran Bow, a popular episodic adventure game that contains a creepy atmosphere. Little Misfortune follows in Fran Bow's footsteps, as it's also a dark adventure game. Luckily, this time around the devs haven't broken up the title into separate releases on Android, which means Little Misfortune is a complete package, and you can pick it up today for $8.99.

Shadowgun War Games shoots its way onto the Play Store, still feels like a beta

Shadowgun War Games shoots its way onto the Play Store, still feels like a beta

Back in November of 2019, Madfinger's competitive first-person shooter Shadowgun War Games arrived on the Play Store for pre-registration. At the tail end of January, we learned the game would be officially released on February 12th, though it would appear Madfinger hit a few snags yesterday, and so the game was released late in the day, which is probably why the official PR didn't go out until this morning. Still, Shadowgun War Games is now officially available for all to enjoy, though it currently feels unfinished despite the presence of multiple subscription passes.

Cookies Must Die is a free-to-play platformer that's actually worth playing

Cookies Must Die is a free-to-play platformer that's actually worth playing

Cookies Must Die is the latest release from Rebel Twins, the creators of Daddy Was A Thief, Aliens Drive Me Crazy, and most notably, Dragon Hills. As expected, Cookies Must Die offers a zany story, beautiful 2D art, and quality controls, though this is a free-to-play release, so the title's monetization isn't the best, but it is at least reasonably tolerable thanks to title's polished gameplay.

Thanks, I hate it: PewDiePie and Bulbware team up to make 'Poopdie' dungeon crawler (Update: Out now)

Thanks, I hate it: PewDiePie and Bulbware team up to make 'Poopdie' dungeon crawler (Update: Out now)

PewDiePie (Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg) is best known on YouTube for playing games, and best known outside of YouTube for controversies from playing video games, so it only makes sense that he would lend his hand to creating games as well. His first venture was Tuber Simulator, released in 2016 by Outerminds Inc, and now he's lending his voice (and some creative direction) to a new dungeon crawler game by Poland-based Bulbware.

Darksiders Genesis hacks and slashes its way onto Stadia, now available for $40

Darksiders Genesis hacks and slashes its way onto Stadia, now available for $40

Google revealed today that Darksiders Genesis is the latest game to arrive on the Stadia game streaming platform, and you can pick it up today for $39.99. This is a hack and slash game where you'll explore the dark events that laid the foundation for the first game in the series, which makes this release a prequel. Not only does the Stadia release of Darksiders Genesis align with the release on PC, but this is also the first title in the franchise that includes 2-player co-op. You can also play solo if you wish, but clearly, it will be more fun battling hordes of demons and angels with your friends.

Monopoly for Android now available for pre-registration on the Play Store (Update: Out now)

Electronic Arts released an adaption of the classic board game Monopoly for Android back in 2011, but that version was de-listed years ago, presumably due to expiring licenses. A new version of Monopoly for Android and iOS was announced last month, and now you can pre-register for it on the Play Store.

Terraforming Mars is a new strategy board game from Asmodee Digital, now available on the Play Store

Terraforming Mars is a new strategy board game from Asmodee Digital, now available on the Play Store

Yesterday I covered Asmodee Digital's recent announcement that Terraforming Mars would be officially released on Android today. After a quick look at the Play Store this morning, the game is indeed available for purchase. You can pick it up today for $8.99, and this is a premium release, so there are no in-app purchases or advertisements included. Keep in mind, what you actually receive for $9 is the base board game, so the expansions that exist for the physical version are not included, which means the lack of IAPs may change in the future if these expansions ever make their way to the digital versions of the game.
