Samsung Mobile CEO hints at long-awaited foldable smartphone reveal this year

The Android industry as a whole has overhyped the concept of foldable smartphones to the point of near exhaustion, but none is a worse offender than Samsung. It's been teasing a foldable device for many years now (see 2014 concept below) but the feat of actually producing one that's durable and functionally innovative enough to commercially release has clearly been too challenging — at least, up until this point. CNBC has now reported that the mobile hardware giant has plans to unveil more details about a forthcoming foldable smartphone this year.

Samsung Galaxy J8 goes on sale in India June 28 for INR 18,990

Last month, Samsung announced four new Galaxy phones for the Indian market, including the A6, A6+, and J6. The fourth model, the Galaxy J8, will be available to purchase from tomorrow. New trademarks suggest Samsung may move away from 'Gear' wearable branding

T-Mobile Galaxy S8/S8+ now receiving Android 8.0 Oreo update

Verizon models of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ began receiving their Android 8.0 Oreo updates two days ago, and now it's the T-Mobile models' turn. Samsung Experience 9.0 doesn't make any huge changes, at least to the end user, but it does add a few tweaks here and there and smooth the software out a bit.
