Samsung is staying true to tradition this week as it releases the September 2021 security patch before any other company, in some cases before August had even finished. This update includes a new version of One UI for the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Flip 5G, bringing features from the new Z Flip3 to the older devices internationally.

Ahead of the shutdown of its 3G network early next year, AT&T has been prompting customers who own devices that are set to become obsolete to get new phones. It's gone so far as to offer a free if cheap replacement for those who request one. However, some subscribers who have yet to take action of any sort on this matter are receiving devices anyway and they're not the phones we were told to expect.

Despite only being an incremental upgrade over 3.0, it carries over several useful features from the Galaxy S21 to its older siblings. Shortly after the Galaxy S20 series started receiving the July security patch in Korea and Europe, all kinds of unlocked US Galaxy phones started receiving it, too, as 9to5Google and Redditors reported. And now, the update is also available on the Galaxy Note9 on AT&T.
It was bound to be another summer of Samsung budget smartphones and, by golly, we've got more to add to the list. The Galaxy A51 and A71 still await their 5G-enabled counterparts, but we do have widespread availability now of the Galaxy A11 and A21.Both phones started getting around to carriers at the end of last month, but it seems like more of them are now starting to pick up sales, too.

The A11 will sport an unnamed 8-core chipset, 6.4" HD+ (720p) TFT display with a hole-punch camera cutout, a big 4,000mAh battery, and three rear cameras.
