The LG G Vista 2 is a large phone for AT&T customers who don't quite want to spend flagship money. At 8.99, the price isn't quite low-end, and neither are the specs. You get a 5.7-inch 1080p screen, a 13MP camera, and a stylus.

The G Vista is a mid-range version of LG's flagship phone, a larger variant with similar looks and weaker specs for folks looking to save a little bit of money. Now AT&T has announced that it will offer the G Vista 2 as an exclusive in a matter of weeks. And this time LG is throwing in a stylus.

The LG G Vista is a big phone that doesn't cost big money. Rather than forking over close to a grand, you're looking at a device that Verizon Wireless will sell you for 0 off-contract. Of course, there's a trade off. A 960x540 resolution doesn't look particularly stellar spread across a 5.7-inch display, for example.

The LG G Vista is a great phone for people who want an LG G3 but don't have G3 money at the moment—it offers a 5.7-inch screen and a similar form-factor (such as those rear-facing power and volume buttons), but it's powered by a weaker 1.2Ghz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and just 8GB of internal memory (fortunately supplemented by a microSD card slot). Verizon Wireless has pushed out an over-the-air update that hits users with a few UI tweaks.

If you're in the market for a mid-range AT&T handset that kind of looks like the LG G3 but not really, today may be your lucky day. Well, August 22nd may be your lucky day, because that's when AT&T is going to start offering the LG G Vista. Not familiar with the Vista? No worries, here's the rundown:

Update: Verizon's specification page has been changed to indicate that the LG G Vista has an "HD" screen. It looks like there was an error in the original spec list. We're going to assume that means that it's a 1280x720 screen.
