[Hands-on] Dungeon Hunter Champions, a mashup of ARPG and MOBA mechanics that result in nothing special

Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter is a very well known action RPG series for Android, and it looks like the studio is trying to evolve it into something new so that they can latch onto the latest trend of MOBA gameplay. That's why they created Dungeon Hunter Champions. Not only does it contain all of the ARPG gameplay you enjoyed in their earlier Dungeon Hunter titles, but there are also a few different PvP modes thrown into the mix including a 5v5 MOBA battlefield. I suppose the devs feel this will appeal to old and new fans alike, which really isn't a terrible strategy.

Nintendo and Cygames have partnered to release a new RPG titled 'Dragalia Lost Read'

Nintendo hasn't released a new game on Android since Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp landed in November 2017. Well, I'm excited to report that I finally have some news on this front. Nintendo and Cygames have announced a new mobile RPG for Android. It's called Dragalia Lost Read. The initial release will take place in Asia this summer, and there should be a worldwide launch sometime after that.

Hi-Rez Studios' mobile MOBA 'Paladins Strike' is available worldwide

Hi-Rez Studios is best known for their console and PC games. Most notably their 3rd-person MOBA Smite is one of their biggest successes, though many may have the opinion it has seen better days. It would appear that Hi-Rez is no longer satisfied with the console and PC market, as they are now branching out into mobile gaming with the release of Paladins Strike. If the name sounds familiar, that is because they already have a hero shooter available for consoles and PC called Paladins: Champions of the Realm. This release simply takes the characters and lore from that title to create an offshoot game that is better suited for play on mobile.

Dynamite Headdy is the latest SEGA Forever release to land on the Play Store

The SEGA Forever program has seen better days. Back at the beginning of March Sega announced that they would be focusing on direct ports to mobile, instead of ROMs that use their wonky in-house emulator. There are still some new titles planned for the program though, and the recently released Dynamite Headdy is one of them.

PlatinumGames and DeNA announce upcoming hack-and-slash 'World of Demons'

PlatinumGames is best known for their AAA console and PC titles, and they have apparently teamed up with DeNA to create an all-new hack-and-slash samurai game for mobile called World of Demons. An announcement trailer was released today, and some further details have been trickling out at a few of the major gaming websites. We can expect a release for Android sometime this summer, but it's sadly going to be free-to-play with in-app purchases. I guess Platinum couldn't pass up that sweet mobile cash, which is disheartening, to say the least.
