Wednesday is here and it's time for some more app deals. The list today is, mercifully, shorter than Monday's — that was quite the doozy. And in case anyone is wondering, we designate "cheap" as $0.20 or less with "on-sale" being anything higher than that. Read More
It's the start of a new week and I hope that my post from Friday was enough to tide you over the Easter holiday. If you're feeling a bit sluggish today, then maybe some of these apps will help jazz you up as the day begins to wind down. Both free and cheap apps are below for your perusal. Read More

Free stuff is free stuff, no matter what it is. All the better, then, when you like what's being offered. In this case, Google Play is offering HBO's Game of Thrones season 5 in standard definition, which should please a large proportion of people.
Game of Thrones, the TV adaptation of the popular novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin, will surely go down a treat with Google Play shoppers in the US (sorry, everyone else - it looks like you're out of luck here). Read More

I reviewed the V-Moda Crossfade wireless headphones last week and found them to be one of the best looking and sounding set of cans I've tested to date. They are built with top-shelf materials that justify their premium price tag of $300.
That's not a trifling amount to spend on a set of headphones, and lucky for you guys, one of you won't have to pay a single cent to get their hands on a pair. Read More
Hey guys, apparently there is a new movie called 'Ghost Team' starring Jon Heder (AKA Napoleon Dynamite), David Krumholtz, Justin Long and some other people. It's about some losers with dead-end jobs that fill their free time by searching for evidence that ghosts exist. The opportunity presents itself to our lowly heroes to hunt ghosts at an abandoned farm, and so they do. Predictably, the ghosts then turn the tables and hunt them. During the course of all this, laughter inducing events occur (maybe). Read More
After five years, ADW Launcher has returned with a version 2.0. It looks pretty sweet, and there's an in-app unlock for the premium version that disables ads and tosses you a few new features, and by a few, I mean a ton. Including no ads. Here are all of said features. Read More
Did you buy the new-and-improved 2015 Chromecast? If so, you may have forgotten that your purchase includes a free movie rental on Google Play Movies, even if you'd already purchased a Chromecast previously (offers are per device, not account - so you get one for each CC you purchased up to a maximum of five). The movie rental offer doesn't apply to Chromecast Audio purchases, in case you were wondering.
The current offer runs until the end of the year (12/31/15), so there's no rush to redeem it. As always, in order to redeem the offer, you'll need to open the Chromecast app on your device or head to cast.google.com/chromecast/offers while on the same network as or nearby your Chromecast device. Right now, I wish you were here with me. You and I could share a cigar (or maybe a Sprite instead, I think smoking is blech) and then I could welcome you to the machine sitting in my living room that I am typing on right now.
Together, we could reminisce about old bands and old times when music was pure and innovative while songs played on my computer's speakers. When sufficiently inspired, we might play and sing some of our favorite hits together with the Sprite coursing through our veins lending courage to our voices. If you were here I could watch you shine on, you crazy diamond, you. Read More
