Last month we reported that the Pixel 3 and 3 XL had an intermittent problem with third-party apps when using the camera. Those that ran into the issue would get a "fatal error" or similar warning as the camera failed to work in the app, a problem that would then persist in those apps even across reboots. Earlier this month, we reported an issue with both Chrome Beta and Dev on Nougat. Despite both apps being installed on your phone, they didn't show up in the list of My apps & games in the Play Store, which meant that they were never automatically updated and you had to manually search for them, open their listing, and then see if an update was available or not to download it.
The issue, as we rightfully suspected, was related to the change of the signature keys in Chrome. As Googler Alexander Mineer explained to us in the comments on the original post, the keys had to be changed due to Chrome's new ability to act as a WebView provider in Nougat. Read More
According to HTC's official Twitter account, Twitter and the manufacturer have ironed out the bugs that were created when Twitter changed its authorization system a few days ago and broke both Peep and Friend Stream logins:
I have tested it on my EVO and can confirm that it is working properly. I'm not sure how such a major screwup could have fallen through the cracks at HTC, but let's hope it won't happen again. Read More
