Despite its enormous user base, WhatsApp can often be slow to introduce the most hotly-anticipated new features. A Dark mode is still in the works, but fingerprint unlocking already came to iOS a few months ago. It's now finally available in the latest beta channel update to the Android app.

Newton Mail update adds fingerprint support and image optimization [APK Download]
Newton Mail is an app that we cover from time to time here on AP. Formerly known as CloudMagic, the paid email app is reasonably popular with corporate users thanks to its multiple commercial and CRM integrations. It received a bump to v9.8.187, which adds fingerprint support to secure your emails.

The note-taking application has been, quite deservedly, at the top of most productivity lists for a long time. And a recent update to the Android app has made it even easier to keep your notes secure, too. Now you can add passwords and use your fingerprint to unlock sections.

Samsung Flow is not a new app, but the basic gist is that you can use your Galaxy phone's fingerprint scanner to unlock your Tab Pro S Windows 10 device. It also allows you to do other things like see and interact with your phone's notifications on the desktop and transfer content and activity between the two (where supported). Thus far, this has been limited to a single tablet, but Samsung is apparently planning to expand this to all Windows 10 devices soon.
