At the beginning of the year, Square Enix announced two mobile games themed around Final Fantasy VII, more than likely a reaction to the Remake's success on PS4. Of course, since Square is often reactionary to its successes, these two mobile offshoots didn't have any release dates. Of the two games, Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier has recently entered into a closed beta test, and since I got in, I've recorded a 20-minute gameplay video of my first jump in what is clearly a PUBG clone. Two new Final Fantasy VII games are coming to Android

Sony recently held a State of Play digital livestream where a host of developers and publishers announced new games for Sony's platform, and so Square Enix revealed an enhanced and expanded version of Final Fantasy VII Remake while also taking the time to announce two new mobile games that are themed around FF VII. The first is called Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, and it will be a battle royale. The second game is called Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, and it will offer a single-player experience. Both titles will be free-to-play.
