Samsung is rolling out its phone-as-a-subscription Samsung Access service here in the US. Starting as low as $37 a month for the baby S20 model, Samsung Access includes the phone, Samsung Premium Care device protection, 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage, and access to Microsoft 365 Personal. Although there's a pile of terms and conditions associated with it, the service also lets you upgrade your phone every nine months — or earlier, if you'd like to pay more.

Samsung extends warranty on all of its consumer products through May 31 in India

Like many other countries, all of India is currently under lockdown. There are only a few exceptions from this rule, and going to a Samsung shop to get your device fixed is not among the legit reasons to leave your home —in fact, all Samsung stores are currently closed. The Korean company recognizes this situation and offers extended service for devices that would've seen the end of their warranty during the lockdown period. It's also possible to pick up a pre-booked Galaxy S20 at a later time.

Last year's Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are some exceptional smartphones, but they didn't land without causing a few controversies. A number of early criticisms centered around the displays these two phones were using, complaining about possible burn-in, under-saturated colors, and an annoying blue tint. While none of these problems were so severe as to sink the fortunes of either model, Google still had to acknowledge that customers were upset, and we saw it reach out to do so by extending the manufacturer warranties of both phones from one year to two. While it's taken a long time to happen, now we're also getting confirmation of an extension to optional Preferred Care coverage.
