Dawn of Ragnarök update stadia hero

Since the start, Ubisoft has been at the forefront of Stadia's releases. Even with Stadia's uneven footing in 2022, things are still trucking along with new games incoming from multiple developers. Still, Ubisoft is easily one of the most active developers on Stadia, and so it comes as no surprise that Assassin's Creed Valhalla's newest expansion, Dawn of Ragnarök, is now available on the Stadia store, with Discovery Tour - Viking Age coming soon. But that's not all; Ubisoft has also announced that Trivial Pursuit: Live! is landing this month and that Rainbow Six Siege's new season Demon Veil starts next week.

Back in March, The Bad Seed DLC made its way to the Android version of Dead Cells, and today there's an all-new DLC available known as Fatal Falls. Much like the previous content expansion, you can pick up Fatal Falls through a single in-app purchase priced at $3.99. This DLC offers three new biomes to explore, along with new monsters, weapons, and bosses. There's also a new custom mode available for free with today's update, and the game is on sale for half-off until September 28th in celebration of today's DLC release.

Back in June, the release date for the Android port of Northgard was revealed in a YouTube trailer. This popular indie strategy game had already made its way to iOS in April but is only just now landing on Android. Despite the late arrival, the Android port is pretty good, offering acceptable performance, a reworked UI for touchscreen play, and there's even optional DLC available for those looking to extend Northgard's RTS gameplay. It's an acceptable port that should offer hours of fun, and it's currently on sale for 30% off.

Playdigious has just revealed that it's bringing Shiro Games' hit real-time strategy game Northgard to Android and iOS sometime soon. While details are light, the publisher has released a new teaser trailer in celebration of this event.

Dead Cells updated with new DLC, main title discounted 50% in celebration

The Bad Seed DLC comes to Android, bringing fresh content to the popular roguelike

Dead Cells is one of the few mainstays across all of my Android devices. It's easily one of the best platformers on mobile, but better than that, the developer is active, and so The Bad Seed DLC has made its way to Android as of this morning. You can pick up this DLC for $3.99, which basically serves as an expansion to the core game. Best of all, the main title is on sale today for half off in celebration of The Bad Seed's release, so if you've yet to snag a copy of Dead Cells on Android, you have until April 6th to pick it for .99.

To say that DLC is a growing problem would be an understatement. Of the last five games I've reviewed for this site, all of them have had some form of in-app purchases to expand the game or unlock content. Sometimes it's awful, sometimes it's not so bad, but all of them guarantee you only get most of a game. A new service called Pocket Change, however, wants to let game developers charge on a per-play basis. This is beyond scummy.
