Samsung Confirms No Delay On The U.S. Pebble Blue Galaxy S III, Says No Change Made To Its Appearance

While the Galaxy S III has been one of the biggest device launches this year, the so-called pebble blue version of the device has seen some production problems, and shortages in shipments have made the darker version something of a rarity. Acer Halts Shipment Of Iconia Tab A510 Due To A Faulty Component, Confirms A700 Is On Track To Ship By June 11

A few hours ago, the Acer Germany page on Facebook (translated) posted an update stating that there was a fault with an important component in the A51x series of tablets. But Acer did not state which component failed to pass their quality control tests. Unfortunately, this means that there will be a delay in delivery of the Iconia Tab A510/A511 tablets, and Acer has been unable to confirm when the faulty component will be replaced.

Sprint Officially Confirms That The EVO 4G LTE Launch Is Delayed Due To US Customs, Provides Pre-Order Cancellation Options

We reported last night that, due to an ITC order on an Apple patent infringement claim, at least some of HTC's One X and EVO 4G LTE smartphones had been halted at shipping ports by US Customs.

The implications of this for the EVO 4G LTE just got worse, as Sprint has been forced to concede that the planned May 18th launch will have to be delayed until the customs investigation is completed.

United States Customs Halts HTC One X And EVO 4G LTE Shipments At Ports Pending "Investigation" Of Apple Patent Claims

US Customs has halted at least some shipments of the HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE (presumably at the Port of Los Angeles), as a result of an earlier ITC order won by Apple over a patent lawsuit for "data tapping" (context-sensitive text-based actions) in the browser and messaging apps on some HTC phones.

These features, HTC contends, have been removed from the One X and EVO 4G LTE, and HTC is "confident" that it is in compliance with the ruling:

The US availability of the HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S.

Sprint's own pre-order confirmations seem to lend some credence to this idea, stating that pre-order will begin to ship as early as May 15th.

Sprint's promotional email also supports this, stating that the pre-order offer ends May 17th, which would make sense if the next day is launch day.

DROID Incredible Gingerbread Update Needs More Testing, Delayed Until Further Notice

The DROID Incredible has remained without Gingerbread while its successor, the Incredible 2, has had it for well over a month. A Verizon support rep is now claiming that the Incredible's long awaited Ginger-bump has been put on hold pending final approval from Verizon's product team - which basically translates to: we're not happy with it yet.

It could be a single bug, or wider user experience problems. This means the delay may last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks - or more.

Did LG Delay Gingerbread On The Scandinavian Optimus 2x To Fall 2011?

We often report on things that only affect us here in the US, but other areas of the world aren't out of our realm of coverage, either. Thanks to a tipster, we have reason to believe that the Gingerbread update for the Scandinavian variant of the LG G2x/Optimus 2X/LGP990 has been delayed from Summer to Fall of 2011 - if the Swedish LG site is correct, that is.

The Swedish LG site doesn't seem to be the only one reporting this timeline change - the Danish and Norwegian sites are also reporting the same thing.

Relatedly, GSM Arena has confirmed that the SGSII has undergone a change in specification - bumping its dual-core Samsung Exynos processor up to a screaming 1.2GHz. The official SGSII microsite no longer lists the device's exact processor specs - furthering speculation that the change will probably be officially announced by Samsung at some point.

Oops - Authorized Verizon Retailer Sends Flyer To Customers Claiming HTC Thunderbolt Is "Now Available"

Way to pour salt on your customers' wounds there, Verizon authorized Verizon retailer: pictures have surfaced of a new flyer arriving in customers' homes (obtained by Droid Life) that shows the HTC Thunderbolt with the words "Now Available" beneath it. No, this isn't an unexpected dream come true for Verizon customers, it seems like a flub by an authorized dealer (it's unclear to us which one) that certainly can't help calm the restless natives.
