In case that Google Play Edition HTC One doesn't strike your fancy, or the price tag is too outlandish, there's always the subsidized carrier version. Amazon has chopped a bit more off the cost of the HTC One on both AT&T and Sprint. Both devices are now $49.99 with a new line on a 2-year contract.
This deal matches what WireFly did for the Sprint model last month, but that retailer doesn't offer AT&T phones at all. Read More
We've seen every indication a shiny new Nexus 7 is on the way from Google, including retailers clearing out stock of the original tablet at steep discounts. Staples is up today with a price reduction on both 16GB and 32GB versions. It's not a bad price, but there are online deals for less. This does, however, make it look like Staples is making room for a new product – most other brick-and-mortar retailers are sticking to the default price. Read More

While we were collaborating on the Galaxy Note 8.0 review, Cameron and I wondered what the "sweet spot" for pricing on this tablet would be. This is it: at $300, the Galaxy Note 8.0 becomes an easy recommendation rather than an exercise in compromises (especially if you're looking for a Goldilocks mid-sized screen). eBay has Samsung's latest stylus-oriented tablet for $299.99, assuming that you're OK with a manufacturer refurbished model. If you're in the market for a gigantic, tablet-like smartphone that doesn't start with the word "Galaxy," you'd be hard-pressed to find a better candidate than the LG Optimus G Pro. And if you want it on AT&T, you won't find anywhere that has it cheaper than Amazon. The 5.5-inch phone is just $49.99 for new contact signees and returning customers whose 2-year re-up has come, with free two-day shipping to boot (you don't even need Amazon Prime). Read More
Google's anointed Android tablet is a pretty good deal even when you buy it at retail, but there's a solid deal for the Nexus 10 on eBay right now if you don't mind refurbished hardware. This is the 32GB variant of the tablet, which usually goes for $499. So this deal saves you $110.
Update 6/29/13: The original price for these was $539.99, but it's since been dropped to $499.99.
The Galaxy S4 Mini isn't as powerful as the original S4, its screen isn't as nice, nor is it as easy to find. That said, an unlocked version of Galaxy S4 Mini is available today-only on eBay for $499.99. It's not that much cheaper than the full-sized version, but that may not matter for people with smaller hands or tighter pockets. Read More
