Google seems to have massively underestimated the demand for its Cyberpunk 2077 promotion on Stadia. The company has announced that it has had to close its offer of free prerequisite gaming hardware to those who ordered the game about halfway through its intended campaign period.

Hands-on: Turns out Stadia is a pretty good way to play Cyberpunk 2077

Stadia's been able to secure precious few high-profile day-and-date multiplatform releases since its launch last November — Doom Eternal, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and not many others. This week, the service landed its biggest yet: the hotly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. It's an enormous and ambitious game that's already developed a reputation for running poorly on most hardware. But while Stadia definitely isn't the best way to experience the sci-fi epic, it turns out it's far from the worst.

Google recently ran a promo that offered YouTube Premium subscribers a free Stadia Premiere Edition kit — that's a controller and a Chromecast Ultra, and it usually costs a hundred bucks. On this, Stadia's first birthday, Google's got another great deal going, and you've got another shot to get a free kit. All you have to do is pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia.

OnePlus isn't just stopping at a Cyberpunk-themed phone. According to a recent leak from @StationChat, the long-rumored OnePlus watch will also offer a Cyberpunk 2077 edition. But according to reliable OnePlus leaker Max Jambor, the OnePlus Watch won't run WearOS.

OnePlus loves to stand out. Whether it's partnering with McLaren or joining up with Jedi, the company excels at launching limited-edition phones. For its latest collab, OnePlus has produced a version of the OnePlus 8T that looks like it shot right out of the screen during a Cyberpunk 2077 gaming session.

Well, it's official, Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Stadia on the same day it will release on every other platform, November 19th. Thankfully CD Projekt has tweeted that the game will arrive on Stadia on the 19th of November, and if you're eager to get your hands on the title, pre-ordering is now available on the Stadia store.
