Google introduces Bubble Zoom preview for an easier comic book reading experience in Play Books [APK Download]

Do you read comic books from the Play Store? If not, you might want to start. Google just announced a great new feature at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 that changes the experience of reading comic books. It's called Bubble Zoom and it quite literally makes speech bubbles leap off the page. Each blob of text is identified and sequentially pops up with the press of a volume button or a tap at the bottom-right of the screen. Check out Google's introduction video:

Comic book favorites Dog Mendonça and Pizzaboy get their own adventure game

Unless you're a dedicated aficionado of rare and indie comic books, you might not have heard of The Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy. It's a much-loved little series that combines a sarcastic version of noir storytelling with urban fantasy - think Harry Dresden meets Monkey Island, and you're about there. Originally published in Portugal before getting an English release via Dark Horse, the series spans three volumes and a short story. Now fans can also dig into a standalone adventure game as well.

Telltale Games Announces The Walking Dead: Michonne, Its Next Adventure Game Mini-Series Coming This Fall

Unveiled this morning at the E3 gaming convention in Los Angeles, The Walking Dead: Michonne will soon be the latest mini-series from Telltale Games.

Just in case the name doesn't give it away, this set of titles will center around Michonne, a character from the The Walking Dead comic book. The timeline stems from issues #126 through #139.


Anyone familiar with Telltale will know how the tale is told. These licensed adventure games tend to get broken up into series and episodes. Game of Thrones, for example, is four releases into a six-episode arc. Telltale plans to trace the plot of The Walking Dead: Michonne over the course of three episodes.

The New Cel-Shaded 'Spider-Man Unlimited' Endless Runner May Be A Gameloft Game, But Boy Is It Pretty

I hear you already. This is a Gameloft game. Stop giving them press. Stop talking about them. Ignore them, and maybe, just maybe, they'll go away. Well, that's simply not the case. The company's games attract downloads like photos with inaccurate quotes.

But somewhere along the way, Gameloft learned how to make really pretty games. Its latest title, Spider-Man Unlimited, really is a visual treat. The company's previous Spider-Man efforts took the realistic approach, but this time around, it's going out on a limb with a cel-shaded superhero instead.
