Android One is Google's effort to provide customers with compelling and affordable smartphones that still offer a stock experience. The initiative debuted in India before coming to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Turkey. Today Google announced that Myanmar will be the next country to take part.


Google is partnering with Cherry Mobile to provide the Cherry Mobile One (how's that for combining names?) in the country. The device, which is already available in the Phillipines, comes with Android 5.1.1 and two years of updates.
