JBL introduces Google Assistant-enabled Live headphones starting at $100, portable speakers for kids, and more

As the proliferation of AI-enabled headphones continues, Harman's JBL is adding to its collection with three headsets from the newly-announced Live series, beginning at $100. The Samsung-owned audio subsidiary also revealed several other new mid-range products at CES 2019, including a $30 portable speaker for kids that comes in colors including "Spider Red" and "Froggy Green," and the JBL Flip 5 portable speaker, which features a 4,800mAh rechargeable battery and starts at $100. Finally, Harman is showcasing an app called Personi-Fi that aims to bring personalized audio settings to any streaming device.

We've covered the Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 a lot because they're far and away the best fully wireless cameras on the market, but the current offerings top out at 1080p. JBL Link Bar, the soundbar with Google Assistant and Android TV, will ship this spring

It's been a long road for JBL's Link Bar. First announced in May of 2018, as the first soundbar with both Google Assistant and Android TV built in, it went up for pre-order in August with an expected availability of October, but shipments were delayed and we knew it wouldn't likely come to market before 2019. We have an updated date today, as JBL has announced the Link Bar will come this Spring.

TP-Link Kasa announces smart video doorbells, in-wall outlets, light switches, and more

TP-Link sells a plenty of smart home devices under its Kasa brand, like the power strip we recently reviewed, an outdoor camera, various outlets, and more. All of them connect to the internet over Wi-Fi, instead of a dedicated hub, and all of them can be managed from the Kasa app. TP-Link has now announced seven more smart home products, including a video doorbell, an in-wall power outlet, and even a light switch with a voice assistant.

Samsung's 2019 QLED TVs will be compatible with both Google Assistant and Alexa

Samsung's CES 2019 motto appears to be more openness. After the company announced that its 2019 Smart TVs will support Apple's AirPlay 2 and launch the iTunes Movies & TV Shows service, it has also revealed that its QLED 2019 models will be compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
