Professor Layton and the Curious Village brings its mind-bending puzzles to Android

Talk about a stacked Tuesday. First, a full HD port of Monster Hunter World Stories releases on the Play Store, and then Level-5 announces that Professor Layton and the Curious Village has been ported to Android, complete with an HD makeover, and it's also available on the Play Store starting today. There's already a couple of Layton games on Android, though this is the first to actually star Professor Layton. It's also the first game in the main series, so if you'd like to see where it all began, this is the title for you.

[New App] Lumosity Mobile App Arrives On Android Eager To Train Brains Using Bite-Sized Games

If you have cable, browse YouTube, enjoy Hulu, or partake in any activity that involves viewing video ads, there's a solid chance you've seen a Lumosity ad. But on the off chance that you haven't, here's one (and you thought browsing a blog would keep you safe).

Lumosity is a service that promises to train your brain in areas related to memory, speed, attentiveness, problem solving, and others. The website launched in 2007 and has millions of members, but many users come via a mobile app that has, thus far, only been available for iOS. Now that has changed. The Lumosity app has come to Android, complete with mobile brain teasers and other bite-sized mental exercises.

If you own an Xperia phone or Sony's Tablet S, then you're finally going to get a treat before the others do. The Tiny Bang Story is a game centered around the inhabitants of Tiny Planet. An asteroid did a number on this planet, and now it's in shambles. Fortunately, you don't need cheap labor to rebuild. Just some solid problem solving skills.

Update: The exclusivity period will last until August 5 2012.

The game features a wide variety of puzzle games, including actual puzzles. As in, with pieces that you put together. The variety of brain teasers is actually pretty impressive and the artwork is fantastic.
