Since my introduction to the brand a couple of years ago, V-Moda has quickly become one of my favorite audio companies. Solid sound and performance, paired with impeccable build quality and distinctive styling make the company's products easy to like and recommend. I thoroughly enjoyed the Crossfade wireless headphones when I reviewed them a year ago, and though I had a few small issues with the headphones, I was impressed overall.
When presented with the opportunity to review the newly released Crossfade 2 Wireless headphones I couldn't wait to try them out. In their press photos they looked an awful lot like their predecessor. Read More
I've tested many over-ear headphones over the past couple of years and I can easily say that the Bose QuietComfort 35 are my favorite. I often recommend the value-for-money proposition of the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2, but when I go to pick up one of these two to use while working or traveling, I always go for the Bose. They're better at blocking noise, lighter, more travel-friendly, and more comfortable to wear over long periods of time. But their $350 price always gives me pause when asked about them and that's why today's deal is very interesting.
Bose is selling the QuietComfort35 on eBay for $260 - $90 off their original retail price. Read More
I make no attempts to hide the fact that I do not particularly like Bluetooth speakers in general. There are a few exceptions, one of them being the subject of this Deal Alert. The Bose SoundLink Mini II is available on Amazon for $129, which means that you can save $70 off of the MSRP. Read More
Bose's wired QuietComfort 25 (no Bluetooth) is one of the most loved and well-reviewed noise cancellation over-ear headphones of the last few years. I don't have a pair, but I did review the QC 35, which is its more expensive wireless sister, and I came away impressed by its portability, superb comfort, excellent noise cancelation, and balanced sound profile. The QC 25 looks and feels just the same as the QC 35, but requires a wired connection to your device.
Normally, these headphones cost $299 and the cheapest we've ever seen them at is $269: when you have a product this popular, you can ride the high MSRP price for years and never worry about dropping demand. Read More
It isn't difficult to find a decent-sounding pair of headphones for under or around $100 these days, but they almost always have some shortfalls. Some are too heavy, some are uncomfortable in general, and some are poorly made. However, if you're a casual listener who's looking for a decent set of cans for on-the-go listening, Bose's SoundTrue around-ear headphones II are a great choice, especially at their newly discounted price of $99.99. Wireless charging used to be a hot topic in smartphone design, with Google, Sony, LG, Samsung, and even the likes of HP eager to put one standard or another into their devices. It's been cooling off over the last few years: Google, once the biggest proponent around, has unaccountably left wireless charging out of its latest flagships. Only LG and Samsung still seem genuinely interested in the feature. But the trade groups that represent it are still going strong. At Mobile World Congress, the AirFuel Alliance (formed by the merger of the PMA and AW4P groups) announced ten new members added over the last few months. Read More
As we get closer to the Thanksgiving and Black Friday week here in the US, sales will start popping up all over the place. If you work retail in these next few weeks, I feel sorry for you. Regardless, there are some pretty great deals to be found. One such is the Bose QuietComfort 20 acoustic noise canceling headphones. They are marked down to $200, a savings of $50, at several major online retailers. Read More
Wireless headphones are getting a lot of attention these days in light of a certain phone manufacture's 'brave' decision to remove headphone jacks, but a good wired set of buds can often be found at much lower prices. Such is the case today with the Bose SoundSport In-Ear Headphones which are on sale for just $40 right now at Best Buy. With an MSRP of $99 and a street price of around $90, that's a killer deal on a very well-reviewed set of earbuds. In fact, it's less than a third of the price of these headphone's wireless counterpart. Read More
V-Moda is a newer name in the audio business than other established brands like Bose, Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, and Sony, but what it lacks in age it makes up for in moxy, premium materials, and style. Whether you like the way they look or not, there is no denying that V-Moda makes headphones that stand out from the crowd.
A few weeks back V-Moda reached out to see if I'd be interested in reviewing one of their newest products, the V-Moda Crossfade wireless headphones, and I couldn't resist the offer. I've read a lot of good things about their products and have wanted to try out a set of their cans for a long time. Read More
