Starting Thursday, Stadia Pro members who don't have Borderlands 3 will be able to play it for free. No, this is not a free game you can add to your library — rather, it looks to be the platform's first Free Play Days campaign.
While Stadia's free tier is finally available to everyone, Pro users (and those who have just signed up for the free two-month trial) still benefit from perks like 4K gaming and free games. There are also weekly deals on some titles, so the Pro tier is easily worth its $10 price. This week, you have the chance to grab Borderlands 3, which had been available at a discount before, and the two newest Tomb Raider titles for up to 67% off.
Stadia Pro doesn't only let you collect free access to some video games, it also occasionally gives you deals on titles you have to buy additionally. At the moment, Google has two relatively recent games on offer, published in September last year: Borderlands 3's prices are slashed by 50 percent across all versions available on Stadia, starting at $30, while NBA 2K20 is going for $19.80, down from $60. The $80 Digital Deluxe and the $100 Legend Edition have also been reduced to $26.40 and $33, respectively.
