Gaming phones are getting more and more popular, and Xiaomi is keeping up the pace with its Black Shark series. The latest iteration, the Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro, have popped up on the Chinese store. You can pre-order one today, with the phones set to release to China on Thursday the 25th. An international release has not been set.

OnePlus, Black Shark, Realme, and Meizu have announced joining the Peer-to-Peer Transmission Alliance, a group started by Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo that's pushing a single unified file transfer solution (which Android currently lacks) in the vein of Apple's AirDrop for the Chinese smartphone market.
Just about 2 months ago, Xiaomi debuted its first 5G gaming phones. Next week, it will bring them out of China and into Europe. But up until then, fans who want either a Black Shark 3 or 3 Pro have a chance to save a little money when it comes time to buy one.

Be prepared to pay more to git güd-er
Xiaomi's mobile gaming spin-off, Black Shark, has come out with a pair of new phones — the third generation in the series and the first to sport 5G radios. It's also come out with some gaming earbuds as well. And if you're outside of China and want any of them for yourself, you'll be able to acquire a Black Shark 3, Black Shark 3 Pro, and/or the Ophidian Bluetooth earbuds soon enough.
In spite of the fact that smartphones just don't make for great gaming platforms, there's no shortage of gaming-centric phones on the market. Xiaomi's Black Shark 2 Pro is the latest one to hit the market, going toe-to-toe with offerings from ASUS, Razer, and ZTE. The Black Shark 2 Pro certainly looks the part, and at $599 in the US, it offers some great specs for the money. That said, unless you champion the Android video game experience over all else, you're probably better off looking elsewhere.
Xiaomi is wasting no time with its gaming-focused Black Shark brand. It's announced three Black Shark phones in the last year, the most recent of which is the confusingly named Black Shark 2. It's the third phone after the original Black Shark and Black Shark Helo. Those phones were already plenty powerful, but the new phone sports the latest Snapdragon 855 and up to 12GB of RAM.
Xiaomi released its gaming phone, the Black Shark, in China last April. The black and neon green device packs some impressive specs for its modest price, including a Snapdragon 845 and either six or eight gigs of RAM. At the time, there was no word on whether it'd be coming to the rest of the world, but now, the company has announced that it'll release in Europe on November 16.
Xiaomi announced the Black Shark gaming phone just a few months ago, and it's already time for a sequel. The Black Shary Helo makes a few minor changes to the hardware, but it still has that distinctly "gamer" aesthetic. By which I mean it glows.
Look at you, playing games on a phone that was not specifically designed for gamers. How can you expect to compete in PUBG or the upcoming Fortnite when your phone doesn't have any sick green accents or liquid cooling? Well, Xiaomi is here with a phone to improve your gaming skills. The previously rumored Black Shark gaming phone is official, and it's coming to China on April 20th.

The smartphone market is extremely saturated at this point, so it's not often we see something actually unique. Xiaomi makes plenty of regular phones, but it has also produced a few wild devices like the Mi Mix family. It appears that another strange phone from Xiaomi is on the way - one tailored to gamers.
