Royal Bank of Canada starts rolling oot Google Pay support

We've received a smattering of reports this morning that the Royal Bank of Canada is (finally) rolling out support for Google Pay. Google's official list of supported banks in the country has yet to be updated to include RBC, but after teasing upcoming support last week, the bank itself has tweeted out a confirmation that Google Pay is live for RBC customers.

Basically every major US bank and credit union already supports Google Pay, and the contactless payment service already has nearly 2,000 partners stateside. Despite that, the support list continues to grow by at least a handful of banks every few weeks, and sure enough, an additional 17 have joined the list since our last update 12 days ago.

Here in the US, Google Pay is widely supported, and for that we're grateful. In international markets, support isn't always as easily found, but the list of partner banks is ever expanding.
