Chromebooks are in a better place than ever before. Chrome OS itself constantly sees a more streamlined implementation, while hardware continues to get more powerful and efficient, enabling high performance and long battery life. Low prices have always been an enticing reason to use one of today's best Chromebooks over a more traditional laptop, and with the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, that's especially true now.

Whether you're looking for a light, versatile player in your PC playbook or just an extra computer to run a server or some tasks in the backgrounds, Asus's Chromebook Flip C434 is a beautiful choice. And it's back near record low prices on Amazon right now.The C434 comes with a 14" 1080p revolving touch display — that's where the "Flip" in the name comes from — a backlit keyboard, and a sturdy aluminum build. The base model configuration we're talking about here is admittedly a bit light for some who might want to use it as a daily driver, but an 8th-gen Intel Core m3 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage definitely makes it a capable alternate in times of need. Plus, it's a Chromebook, so long battery life is a given. You can learn more about this device in our full review.

An excellent Chromebook for an affordable price

While it's not the newest Chromebook on the block, the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 is still one of the best laptops running Google's browser-based OS you can buy today. The cost reflects that too — it rarely drops below its usual $600 price tag, even two years after its initial launch. Today, you can grab a C434 with 8GB of RAM for just $480 from Amazon, the lowest this particular model has ever dropped and an excellent opportunity to finally switch to Chrome OS.You're looking at an upgraded base model for this price, not one of Asus's more powerful — and more expensive — units. For $480, the C434 includes an 8th-gen Core m3-8100Y processor, along with 64GB of eMMC storage. Admittedly, it's not a powerhouse of a laptop in 2021, but at this price point, it's a steal. The 14" 1080p display offers good viewing angles and solid brightness levels, perfect for binge-watching. Once it's time to be productive, the backlit keyboard can keep you working well into the night.

The arrival of Cyber Monday brought along with it plenty of incredible deals on a barrage of Chromebooks, like the Asus Chromebook C423 for $179, HP Chromebook x360 2-in-1 for $249, and the recently released Asus Chromebook C433 for $370. In the spirit of keeping the deals rolling, we've uncovered another great offer, this time on one of our personal favorite Chromebooks from earlier this year. For today only, you can grab the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 for as low as 9 (9.99 off) on Amazon. In May, we called the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 a "worthy successor to the beloved C302," and a quick glance its spec sheet is more than enough reason to see why. Underneath a premium aluminum chassis and 14" 1080p display, the models in today's deal include Intel Core M3 processors, 4GB and 8GB memory options, 64GB of storage with microSD support, and a battery rated at 10 hours of use on a single charge. This Chromebook also includes plenty of ports, including two USB Type-C, one USB Type-A, and a headphone/microphone combo jack.

After months of mediocre low-end Chromebooks, Asus finally announced a successor to its wildly-popular Chromebook Flip C302 earlier this year. The C434 is an upgrade in almost every respect, and now you can finally buy it directly from Asus, anyway. The Chromebook Flip C434 has a 14-inch 1080p display, an Intel Core m3-8100Y processor (2 cores, 4 threads) clocked at 1.1GHz, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. For connectivity, you get two USB 3.0 Type-C ports, one USB 3.0 Type-A port, a microSD card reader, and a headphone/microphone combo jack.

One of the most praised midrange Chromebooks of the past couple of years is the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302. Ask several of our Android Police writers, and they'll sing you its praises for a good ten minutes, even two years after it was first announced. The world moves forward though, and now we have the C302's successor: the Chromebook Flip C434.
