[Update: Changelog] Google Play Music Update 5.3.1316M Adds SD Card Downloads And New Sharing Options [APK Download]

Version 5.3 of the Google Play Music app is flying out to Android devices right now, bringing with it... not a lot, actually. A quick look inside reveals bolded "Listen Now" text in the slide-out menu, a version update to 5.3.1316M, and not much else. DuoLingo Android App Updated To 2.0 With An Updated UI And A Slimmed-Down Install Size

The free DuoLingo service already has an army of aspirational bilingual supporters, but that's no reason to rest on your laurels. Today the developers have updated the Android app with a few changes to the user interface. The basics of the app have only been tweaked slightly - a digital spit and polish, if you will - but extra screens added to the end of lessons and progression screens should help users get a feel for where they are in the program.

SoundSeeder Does Its Best Chromecast Impression, Adds Google Play Music Streaming In The Latest Update

A few months ago we told you about a nifty music streaming app called SoundSeeder, which lets you stream audio directly from one Android device to another over WiFi. At the time I mentioned that it was a cool idea, but the fact that it didn't allow users to stream Google Music songs over the connection was a bit of a let down. Developer JekApps took my complaint under advisement, and let us know that there's a new version that enables Google Play Music streaming after all.

Titanium Backup Updated To Support Android Runtime (ART) In KitKat

For a lot of users, Titanium Backup is one of the first Android apps they install on a new device or ROM. So it's no surprise that a few of them were dismayed when they tried to do so on the Nexus 5 (or one of a growing number of updated Android 4.4 devices) with the fancy new Android Runtime enabled, and found that Titanium would crash. The developer has updated the app to 6.1.4.1 in short order, and it should now run in both ART and Dalvik.

Amazon's Android Shopping App Updated With Amazon Prime Trials, New Payment Methods, And Deals For Canadians

As a tech addict who lives in a remote area, Amazon Prime is a godsend for me: getting stuff delivered to my door quickly when it would otherwise necessitate a three hour round trip is well worth the nominal fee. Amazon hopes you'll agree, and to that end they've now included the ability to sign up for an Amazon Prime free trial right in the official Amazon app.

SwiftKey Revives Left-Handed Number Pad Option, Addresses Several Other Bugs With Update To Version 4.3.1

SwiftKey introduced several new keyboard layout options earlier this month, including the ability to split keyboards and move them around, empowering users to position the keyboard precisely where its most accessible. Now left-handed users, or people who just prefer having the option, can again move the number pad to the left side of the keyboard.

Xposed Framework 2.4 Beta 1 Adds Support For KitKat And Performance Improvements

The Xposed framework is a major boon to those of us who use an Android device that doesn't have a lot of support from the custom ROM community. It allows a lot of the things you want in custom ROMs - visual tweaks, interface changes, behavioral and button functions, fixes for annoying bugs, and a host of other things - via independent modules, with only root privileges. The latest beta release from developer "Rovo89" includes support for Android 4.4 and a bevy of performance improvements.
