Controversial Denuvo DRM coming to your phone with Mobile Game Protection for Android

If you're not a PC gamer, you may have never heard of the gaming security firm Denuvo. To quickly fill you in, this firm has offered an anti-tamper DRM solution for many prominent video game publishers of PC titles. Of course, this DRM is a lot less popular amongst gamers (and even developers) that claim the DRM slows down their titles. While Denuvo states that there should be no perceptible effect, the service is still regularly demonized. This is probably why most Android gamers won't be thrilled to learn that Denuvo has launched a mobile-focused DRM solution for Android called Mobile Game Protection.

[Update: Not leaked] DexGuard, a tool to protect Android apps from hacking, has its code leaked online

As you may have figured out from our APK teardowns, it's pretty easy to look inside most Android apps and figure out what they're doing. There are a few products designed to obfuscate (hide) app code, one of them being DexGuard from Guardsquare. However, apps protected with DexGuard might become vulnerable in the future, thanks to the tool's code being leaked.

Roku is showing an FBI anti-piracy warning for YouTube and some other channels

YouTube TV isn't the only video service that seems to be running into problems today. According to widespread recent reports, many people are having trouble accessing specific Channels on their Roku set-top devices. The affected services, which include YouTube and Netflix, are allegedly showing an FBI anti-piracy warning message.
