HTC Representative Says One M9 Owners On Rogers, Wind Mobile, SaskTel, And Videotron Will Get Marshmallow On January 18th

Regular followers of HTC's customer relations will recognize Mo Versi, the company's vice president of product management. He often gives out helpful information on his personal Twitter account, explaining when notable updates are coming for HTC phones and even giving support answers one at a time to his followers. He's considered, in the somewhat insular circles of Android-focused tech blogging, a good dude. And yesterday he gave out some good news: the HTC One M9 Marshmallow update is scheduled to hit a handful of Canadian carriers on Monday.

HTC One A9 GSM And Moto E (1st Gen) Get CyanogenMod 13 Nightlies With Android Marshmallow

The HTC One A9 was HTC's first device to ship with Android Marshmallow, but despite a relatively clean version of Sense, there's still reason to want to flash a custom ROM. Maybe you want the genuine stock Android look. Maybe you want to cut down on the number of pre-installed apps. Either way, you now have the option to flash CyanogenMod and keep Android 6.0 thanks to the arrival of CM 13 nightly builds.

Abandoned By Google, Nexus 10 Finds Its Marshmallow Groove With New CyanogenMod 13 Nightly

CyanogenMod has been breathing fresh and 'mallow-tasting air into the lungs and ROMs of abandoned devices. The Galaxy S III practically returned from the dead after receiving the kiss of the CM 13 nightly, the Nexus 4 that was left behind by Google strapped on its big boy shoes and sprinted to the new version, and now it's the Nexus 10's turn to receive some chest compressions and get resurrected.

Despite being abandoned by Google in its round of official Marshmallow updates, the Nexus 10 is still a decent tablet that's loved by many of its owners. Spec-wise, it's no Pixel C, but it does have an awesome and big screen that makes it perfect for media consumption.

[Update: Game Is Live] NVIDIA'S SHIELD Android TV Will (Finally!) Get Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance On January 7th, Marshmallow Update Sometime Later

The SHIELD TV, easily the best Android TV device available (in an admittedly very short field), will be upgraded to Android Marshmallow at some point. That was never really in question; NVIDIA has been quite good about upgrading software for its first-party Android devices, usually in a timely manner. That's not the important bit of NVIDIA's recent blog post. Nope, the important part is that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, a PS3 port promised since the SHIELD TV was revealed way back in March of last year, will finally be available on Thursday.
