The T-Mobile Galaxy S6/S6Edge is (strangely) the only variant that currently has an official Android 5.1.1 build, and it turns out there's an interesting little bonus hiding inside. Samsung has added support for RAW photography to the Galaxy S6 in this update. The catch is that it's not supported in the stock app at this time.

[Weekend Poll And Discussion] Do You Have Android 5.1.1 Yet? What Do You Think Of It?

As more and more Nexus devices get updated to Android 5.1.1 (and, in the Nexus 9's case, 5.1 in the first place), hopefully more and more issues people had with Android 5.0 and 5.1 are getting resolved. What I want to ask you is about your experience with the latest version of Android. Better? Worse? The same?

The Nexus 4, 5, 6, 7 (2012 and 2013), 9, and 10 [and Player] all have the update rolling out now with varying degrees of completeness, and factory images for all but the 6 are available.

So, let's talk. Android 5.1.1: what's better, what's worse, and what problems with 5.0/5.1 still aren't addressed?

AOSP Developer Changelog Posted For v5.1.1_r2 (LMY47X) To 5.1.1_r3 (LMY48B), Points To Nexus 6 Update Coming Soon

Changelogs come in all shapes and sizes. Well, maybe there is just the one shape, but many different sizes. A new tag for 5.1.1_r3 turned up a few hours ago in AOSP and we've generated a list of changes the change for those who would like to know what's going on. As it turns out, this update sets a record for the smallest changelog ever, at just one lonely commit. On top of that, it's specifically for the Nexus 6 (Shamu).

The lone commit in this release appears to be a bug fix for devices with encryption enabled. The adspd process has been set up to run with the encryption lock screen instead of after.
