Back in December, LG began to roll out the official version of Android 10 to South Korean-based G8 ThinQ phones following a brief beta program. During this time, LG also launched an Android 10 beta for the beefier V50 ThinQ. Now we've learned that the South Korean variant of the V50 has started to receive the stable version of Android 10 as early as last week.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco, which dates all the way back to 2018, is getting its Android 10 update. It's rolling out starting today, with a handful of folks in international markets getting it now, and a full rollout scheduled for April 20th, if nothing goes wrong.
Quick to promise software upgrades when Android 10 was announced, HMD Global has since revised its update roadmap for its Nokia smartphones with more of them expected to make the jump than initially claimed last fall.
Honor is Huawei's successful lifestyle sub-brand that has gained quite some momentum outside of China. Being a Huawei subsidiary, it has to battle the same trade ban woes and won't be able to ship proprietary Google software on its newest handsets, while older devices are still exempted from this rule and continue to receive the familiar version of Android. Regardless of whether or not they have Google apps, a slew of Honor 20 phones and the 9X will start getting the Android 10-based Magic UI 3.0 beginning next week.
