Ubisoft revives an aging series with the release of Might & Magic: Elemental Guardians, but it's just another ARPG auto-brawler

The Might & Magic series hasn't received a new entry since the 2014 release of Might & Magic X: Legacy on PC. Well, today that changes as Ubisoft have released a new action RPG on the Play Store called Might & Magic: Elemental Guardians. Even though this should be exciting news for all of you M&M fans out there, all the release really offers is just more of the same monotonous gameplay that can be found in the countless identical titles on the Play Store, such as Summoners War or Marvel Future Fight. That's right, Ubisoft has revived the Might & Magic brand just to slap its skin on some uninspired free-to-play auto-brawling RPG.

Naruto x Boruto: Ninja Voltage is Bandai Namco's latest action RPG available on the Play Store

At the beginning of this month I wrote up an article about the pre-registration availability for Bandai Namco's action RPG brawler Naruto x Boruto: Ninja Voltage. Despite the tardiness of this post (thanks to a recent holiday), I figured it would still be worth it to follow up on the pre-registration announcement to let everyone know Naruto x Boruto: Ninja Voltage has indeed been officially released.

Spacetime Studios has released a public beta for its newest game Pocket Legends Adventures

Spacetime Studios, the creators of Pocket Legends, Dark Legends, Star Legends, and Arcane Legends, have released an all-new game in the Legends MMO series, but it may not be quite what you expect. You see, Spacetime Studios has stated that their newest release Pocket Legends Adventures isn't an MMO but is "an epic, action-packed RPG adventure." For the most part, I am seeing little difference from their other games, but maybe there are larger plans on the horizon for the official release?

Beyond Oasis Classic joins the SEGA Forever classic games collection

The action RPG genre came into its own in the 90's, with releases such as Secret of ManaThe Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Soul Blazer. The thing is, those were games released on the SNES. When it comes time to consider the Sega Genesis, Beyond Oasis was the one action RPG that could stand on its own against those SNES offerings. Suffice to say, if you grew up with a Sega Genesis in your house, Beyond Oasis probably holds a special place in your heart.

One Piece: Thousand Storm offers online co-op with the anime's most popular characters

I have to confess, despite being fairly well-rounded in all aspects of geeky culture, I'm clueless when it comes to One Piece. There's a stretchy guy and another dude who likes to eat his sword and a woman who can never seem to find her shirt and some kind of tiny moose-bear, and everybody wants this weird fruit. Or maybe treasure. Oh, and there are pirates! Whatever's actually happening in the anime, you can now relive your favorite stretchy-sword-bikini-fruity-pirate-moose moments in Namco Bandai's latest Android game, Thousand Storm.

Cynical One Piece fans might be expecting yet another licensed card game, as that seems to be the favored format for these kinds of tie-in titles.
