Unlike the first generation, the new OnePlus Watch 2 runs Wear OS, including access to the Google Assistant, Google Wallet, and tons of other apps through the Play Store. It also sets a new record in Wear OS battery life, going up to four days on a single charge even with features like always-on display and sleep tracking enabled.
It has been just a few months since Google rolled out Android 14 in earnest, but the company has already dropped the first Android 15 Developer Preview and provided its release timeframe. Like the last few years, the company expects the OS to hit platform stability and finalize the underlying APIs by June 2024, with the release of the third beta. After another beta in July, the company plans to release the OS to the public after July. But when will your phone get Android 15? August? September? The answer might be more complicated than that.
