Xiaomi's latest bezel-less phone, the Mi MIX 2S, was first announced in late March with a 5.99" 1080p IPS LCD panel. Starting today, that panel can be used for ARCore apps. Despite the phone being sold in China, this support has been accomplished thanks to Google's partnership with the Xiaomi App Store, the first of its kind. Read More
After a lot of rumors, leaks, and speculation, Xiaomi has finally made the Mi Mix 2S official. A follow-up the to not-so-old Mi Mix 2, the 2S features a few upgrades such as a Snapdragon 845, dual cameras, Qi wireless charging, and more AI. It kept the global LTE band support and the nostril camera placement along the bottom bezel, as well as the same LCD as its predecessor. Read More
March 27 is shaping up to be an interesting day. Huawei already announced it would be the day it'll launch the Huawei P20 in Paris and now Xiaomi is stealing its thunder with its very own high-profile announcement: the new Mi Mix 2S will be unveiled at the same date.
Xiaomi was one of the first companies to go for the bezelless design with its original Mi Mix, then it followed it up with the Mi Mix 2 in September of 2017, which brought a more refined design and even higher-end specs. The rumor mill for the upgraded Mi Mix 2S has been over-active in the last month, and there was even a leaked image that showed an iPhone X-like notch, which turned out to be likely fake. Read More
