Xiaomi’s extensive reach in the Indian smartphone market is largely due to its entry and mid-tier phones popularized under the Redmi sub-brand. The company did branch out to budget flagships with the Mi Mix 2, Poco F1, and the Redmi K20 Pro in the last couple of years, but it kept this crucial market devoid of a real flagship. That changes now as Xiaomi has introduced its premium Mi 10 5G in India, along with a pair of truly wireless earbuds and a 4K Android TV box.

When you think Android TV Box, you might think Nvidia Shield TV right away, but the company best known for its graphics cards isn't the only one offering a capable big screen experience for Android. Xiaomi's Mi Box S is a neat little device outputting 4K HDR to your TV, and it's on sale at Walmart, going for only $30. That's the lowest we've ever seen and $5 less than the recent offer of $35.
When it comes to Android TV streaming boxes, there are really only two options: the Nvidia Shield TV, and if you're not playing games, the Xiaomi Mi Box S. Now you can grab the entry-level Xiaomi box for just $35, a drop of $25 from the original MSRP (though it has gone for $40 a few times in recent history).
Xiaomi's Mi Box S is already an almost-too-good-to-be-true bargain. For less than the price of a Chromecast Ultra, you get 4K, HDR streaming apps on your TV — and it works as a Chromecast receiver. The streaming box was down to $50 last month, and now it's even cheaper: just 40 bucks.

Xiaomi announced the Mi Box S on October 9, on the same day as Google's Pixel 3 et al. announcements. This new Android TV box from the company keeps its cheap pricing, but you wouldn't say no to more savings, would you?
