Following up on the success of our 404 design and banner design contests, we've decided to run another creative giveaway, graciously sponsored by NVIDIA and Philips. Personally, I think the creative contests are always the best - we get beautiful graphic assets and designs, and our talented readers get a platform on which to showcase their skills and creative abilities. Besides all that, looking through the entries is always a good time.

Following the official unveiling of Sony's Tablet P and Tablet S at the end of last month, the 9.4-inch Tablet S is now available to pre-order in the US, UK and Canada, with each country being given September 16th as the release date on both the official Sony website and Amazon.com.

Sony has finally lifted the curtain on its upcoming Tablet S and Tablet P, formerly known as the S1 and S2, at today's IFA event. While there is little left to known about this dynamic duo, it's nice to finally get an official look at each of them.

We've seen the Sony S1 tablet randomly show up over the last several months, showing off everything from its unique form factor to custom interface. Some formerly missing details have now surfaced that suggest we could see this tablet hit the market sometime within the first two weeks of September, which falls right in line with previous rumors that pre-orders would begin in the UK on September 1st.

That's still a couple of months down the road, so pricing, availability, final release date, and other details (including possible US release date) are lacking at the moment.

While Sony broke the news of its upcoming S1 and S2 tablets back in April, there has been little info surrounding the pair since then - until today, that is. German blog Golem got some hands on action with the duo, and even took the time to grab a really quick video of the S2. Before I go any further, have a look:

The tablet news just keeps on coming. In the past few days, we've already caught wind of two Honeycomb tablets from Lenovo, and now Sony is officially revealing the S1 and S2 tablets. The event is being live blogged by the Wall Street Journal here, but thanks to an official press release we have plenty of details on both the tablets. First up, the S1:

Sony's tablet discussions never picked up much steam. The company has tantalized the community with its intent to mash its future portables with the monster PlayStation brand, except nothing beyond the word of mouth has surfaced to show any other indication of Sony’s tablet development. Until today, that is: Engadget has finally got the scoop on a still-internal Sony tablet, dubbed the “S1.” Though some details are apparently known, no true image of the thing exists in the wild except for this mockup:
