Samsung is no stranger to coming up with unique colors for its smartphones - the S III came in Pebble Blue, the S6 edge debuted with Emerald Green, the Note5 and S6 edge+ launched with Silver Titanium, and the Note7 (RIP) brought us Coral Blue. Samsung has been steadily adding striking colors like Coral Blue and Pink Gold to the S7 edge, and the latest of these is Black Pearl. It's... black. Very black. Read More
Something about the international Duos (dual-SIM) models of Samsung's Galaxy phones makes them ripe for discounts, especially on eBay. We start seeing good deals on these phones a few weeks after release, and they only get better with time. Case in point: today one vendor is offering both the standard Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge, both in Duos flavors, both for hundreds of dollars off of MSRP. The S7 Duos is just $469.99 while the S7 Edge Duos is $519.99.
If you closely follow smartphone deals, you know that the US unlocked models of Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge don't often go on sale. However, for Black Friday, several retailers are handing some pretty nice discounts and freebies out for them. We're also seeing some discounts on American carrier and international dual SIM models. Samsung launched the Note7 a few months ago with a lovely blue color option. Sadly, that phone was cancelled due to the defective battery issues. It didn't take as long as we expected. Read More
Back in September, T-Mobile announced several improvements to its network's infrastructure that would help speed up data transfers significantly. There were two folds to the strategy, 4x4 MIMO and DL-256QAM/UL-64QAM, as well as two devices promised to be compatible with these options first: the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
First, 4x4 MIMO is already available in 319 cities and has the potential to double the data paths between the cell network and phones for better speeds in congested areas. It turns out that 4x4 MIMO was already enabled in the update that rolled out to the T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge back in September, but it wasn't mentioned in the official changelog. Read More
It was not too long ago that Samsung gave U.K. owners of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge the ability to enroll their devices in the Marshmallow beta program. This marked a step outside of Samsung's norm, which was internal testing of major software updates. So here we are in the latter part of 2016 and Samsung seems to be following its new methodology... At least, it looked that way briefly. Read More
When the Galaxy Note7 was discontinued, Samsung lost a big chunk of change and consumers lost the opportunity to buy that really lovely Blue Coral version of the phone. Blue Coral isn't dead, though. After announcing a Blue Coral version of the Galaxy S7 Edge in Asia, Samsung now confirms it's coming to the US too. Read More
It's rare for our David Ruddock to call anything "absolutely stunning," let alone a blue and slightly orange phone of all things, but Samsung managed to extract that statement out of him when he had some hands-on with the Galaxy Note 7 (RIP). And David wasn't the only one to think that. So what's Samsung to do with this splendidly concocted color now that it can't market and sell it on the Note 7? Well, it's releasing it for its other flagship device, the Galaxy S7 Edge.
And it is a beaut. Behold. Read More
