[Update: S9 and other values increased] Samsung will give you up to $600 on trade-in for a Pixel 3, iPhone X, Note9, or Galaxy S10 if you buy a Galaxy Note10

Samsung's reservation page for the "next generation of Galaxy" (i.e., the Galaxy Note10) just went live, and with it comes a table of trade-in values. Parties interested in swapping their old phone for Samsung's upcoming hardware can get up to $600 in value if they send in a Galaxy S10-series phone, iPhone X variant, or Pixel 3. Note that at the time of writing, that's full credit for a Pixel 3's as-new price.

Prominent leaker says Galaxy Note10 will have Qualcomm's upgraded Snapdragon 855

As is the way with such a high-profile new phone, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ have been leaked left, right, and center. Thankfully, it looks like a plan to ditch physical buttons didn't work out in the end. Previous rumors have suggested that the phones wouldn't be getting Qualcomm's latest silicon, the overclocked plus variant of the 855, but fresh information from a trusted leaker contends that point.

Galaxy Note10+ could support ultra-fast charging, but no sign of Snapdragon 855 Plus

More specs for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note10 have leaked. According to well-known leaker Ice universe, the Note10 will support charging at up to 25W, and the larger Note10+ will support up to 45W — though it will only come with a 25W charger in the box. WinFuture further believes that the Note10 will be using a Snapdragon 855 in the US, and not the upcoming Snapdragon 855 Plus.

Samsung makes it official: The Note10 will be announced on August 7

Samsung traditionally holds two Unpacked events per year: one for the latest Galaxy S phone, and the other for the latest Galaxy Note. You can probably guess which is being announced at this August 7th Unpacked event even without reading this article's title or looking at the S Pen in the teaser image, but yeah, it's the Galaxy Note10.

Upcoming Galaxy Note10+ won't be called Note Pro according to first blurry real-life photos

Plenty of details about Samsung's upcoming Note10 have already leaked, but some of the particulars have changed over time, and another tweak has just been spotted. In what looks like the first set of real-life photos for the upcoming device, it seems that Galaxy Note "Pro" name may not pan out. The presumably bigger phone in the upcoming pair will go by the name "Note10+," and you can get a glimpse of the hardware that goes with it just below.

The Galaxy Note 10's camera might come with a three-stage variable aperture

The Galaxy Note 10 and 10 Pro have leaked sufficiently already, and thus, we have a pretty good idea what the phones will look like. We also know that they will most likely lose the headphone jack but keep physical buttons, and that they will probably be "unpacked" on August 7. Another interesting rumor is also making its rounds, courtesy of leaker Ice universe, who claims the Note 10 will come with a three-stage variable aperture lens, consisting of f/1.5, f/1.8, and f/2.4.

Galaxy Note 10 tipped for Unpacked event on August 7

Samsung, as with anything or anyone else, has its ups and downs, but the swings and roundabouts this year have been vast: the bread-and-butter Galaxy S10 series has been selling at a decent clip, but the bleeding-edge Galaxy Fold was kept out of market due to engineering concerns. The company may be pinning its hopes on another upswing with the release of the Galaxy Note 10 and we now have a good idea of when that will happen.
