Although Motorola has been slow to roll out Android 10 to most of its devices globally, the company is at least keeping developers happy with steady kernel source releases. Over the past few weeks, Motorola has released updated source code packages for most of its phones, accelerating the creation of custom ROMs and recovery partitions.
It's only been about two months since Motorola announced the Moto G9 Play, but it looks like the successor to that budget device is already on the horizon. New leaks have surfaced that reveal key specs of the upcoming device, including a slightly downgraded battery size, a new hole punch selfie camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
It's hard to believe that the Moto G series has gone through nine iterations already, but here we are. Motorola has just announced the Moto G9 for India, as well as the Moto G9 Play for Germany. Both phones have identical specifications, save for one small detail: the G9 Play has a Google Assistant button on the side.
