Mobvoi adds sleep tracking to the TicWatch Pro

TicWatches are among the only compelling Wear OS smartwatches not made by Fossil Group, but none of them have offered sleep tracking before, not even the flagship TicWatch Pro (reviewed here). Mobvoi is now rectifying that with the launch of a new app called TicSleep, and it's offering some discounts on its watches in celebration.

[Update: 4G can now be activated] Mobvoi launches a revamped version of the TicWatch Pro with 4G/LTE

Wear OS smartwatches are seen as sub-par compared to the competition, mainly because most of them still use outdated processors or lack key features. With the TicWatch Pro, Mobvoi managed to design one of the most attractive intelligent timepieces powered by Google's OS on the market. However, despite its good selling points, the product lacked LTE connectivity, which prevented owners from using all their watch's features on the go. TicWatch Pro drops to $200 ($50 off) from Amazon and Mobvoi

Smartwatches aren't as popular as I might hope, but there are still some solid options on the market. Obviously, Wear OS isn't quite the powerhouse that Google would like it to be, but it has its strengths. One of the better options in that category, Mobvoi's TicWatch Pro, is currently on sale for $199.99, a respectable $50 off retail pricing.

TicWatch users can now set Google Fit as their default left swipe app

The TicWatch Pro is a pretty good smartwatch, as much as any SD Wear 2100 watch running Wear OS can be, anyway. One complaint about it was that you were forced to use Mobvoi's own health app as the default swipe left screen in Wear 2.0 (to the right of your watchface), but that's thankfully no longer the case.
