An early sales campaign has wrapped up for boutique tech accessory maker Mobvoi and its wireless Earbuds Gesture — the new wearables are now widely available for purchase in the U.S. and Europe direct from the company or on Amazon starting at $90.
Mobvoi makes a lot of Wear OS smartwatches, and like any good watchmaker, it also produces a variety of watch faces that users can install to personalize their timepieces. Last month, however, on the eve of Halloween, all of the company's watch faces — and the developer account used to publish them — seem to have been purged from the Play Store entirely. Now it looks like most of them have returned to their rightful place on the Play Store's virtual shelves.
Qualcomm revealed two new wearable chipsets back in June, the Snapdragon Wear 4100 and 4100+. The new chips are a significant upgrade over Qualcomm's previous designs, with up to 85% faster performance and improved battery optimization, but there hasn't been a Wear OS smartwatch yet that utilizes the newer chipsets. That's finally changing, as Mobvoi has announced the first Wear OS watch with the Wear 4100.
Mobvoi just released the new TicWatch 3 Pro, which is (by most accounts) the best Wear OS smartwatch you can buy right now. While that model isn't on sale, Mobvoi has discounted all of its other smartwatches by as much as 33%, but the sales end today.
Mobvoi just launched its budget Bluetooth buds with ANC a few months ago, but the company is already back with another pair of wireless earbuds. The Earbuds Gesture come with TicMotion capabilities that allow answering or rejecting phone calls with a shake of the head — and they're live on Indiegogo for a special early backer price of $65.
If you've wanted active noise canceling headphones to tune out the world, but could never afford to shell out $300 or even $350 for the luxury, you now have an alternative to waiting around for sales. Mobvoi, known for its cut-price Wear OS watches and ANC earbuds, has come out with its TicKasa ANC over-ear headphones that aim for lofty feature targets but for less than half the cost of a top-tier pair of cans.
Mobvoi is one of the few companies still taking the future of Wear OS seriously and releasing new hardware. But today Mobvoi has a deal reaching into the past. The company's 2018 flagship smartwatch, the TicWatch Pro, is available on Amazon for just $139.99, a savings of $60 off recent prices.
The TicWatch C2 was announced all the way back in December 2018, but it remains the most attractive smartwatch Mobvoi has produced (if you ask me). An updated C2+ has just been launched with the same design and almost identical specs, except for the memory which has been doubled to a whole 1GB. It also comes with a pair of straps in the box, this time around — one silicone and one leather.
Mobvoi unveiled its latest wireless earbuds yesterday, which now come with active noise cancelation. To celebrate the launch of the new product, the company is offering 10% off for people who pre-order it within the next five days, bringing the price down to $81. Thanks to the promo code below, you can save even more and get them for just $77.
Ever since it released the first TicWatch back in 2017, Mobvoi has been making affordable accessories that promise high-quality features at low costs. Earlier this year, it released the TicPods 2 series to fairly solid reviews. Now the manufacturer is expanding its range of audio products with the TicPods ANC, silicone-tipped Bluetooth earbuds with active noise cancellation.
