The LG G5 has some cool stuff going on with it. It has those swappable battery packs that lend the phone new powers, a powerful processor, QC 3.0 with a USB Type C plug, dual rear cameras, and a host of funky accessories. The one thing it doesn't have is a compelling price tag (it's also dog-ugly IMO). I'll tell you what does have a great price though, the unlocked LG G4 that's on sale right now on eBay for a paltry $289.99. That's less than half the price of the G5 for those of you keeping score.
If value is the most important factor in your phone-buying decision, then it's hard to find many more enticing options than the G4.

We've recently covered some odd releases for CyanogenMod on Android, where the custom ROM was resurrecting some forgotten devices from the dead with updates that their original manufacturers wouldn't dare release for them. This isn't the case with these additions / upgrades to the CM lineup.
First, the T-Mobile LG G4 (h811) started getting its first CM13 nightlies a couple of days ago. Given that Marshmallow is just now heading to the Tmo G4 officially, Cyanogen is keeping up with LG on this one — albeit with a probably less stable release.
Second, the T-Mobile LG V10 (h901) got its first nightly yesterday, but this time it's for CyanogenMod 12.1 which is based on Android 5.1.

Both Christmas and Valentine's are over, but Verizon doesn't seem to be aware of that. It has decided to wrap up its OTA updates with a bow and deliver them straight to your phone so you can enjoy some Marshmallow flavor before the end of winter.
Both the LG G3 and LG G4 are getting updated to Android 6.0, the former to version VS98546A and the latter to version VS98624C. Verizon details the new features with short descriptions and some screenshots so you can already go take a look and see how LG's flavor of Marshmallow will look like. Depending on where you buy from, that represents a discount of $100 to 300 or more off of the retail price.
