The Galaxy Note, Samsung's upcoming 5.3" flagship "phablet" many of you are so excited about, got a 30-second video spotlight yesterday, teasing us with its giant screen, powerful editing features, and creative uses of the stylus. Did you really think Samsung was going to stop there? Nope, not Samsung - today the company released four more detailed videos, each taking a deeper look at different Galaxy Note's sides - business, creative, social, and on-the-go.
I don't usually post Amazon Appstore apps outside of our social media accounts, but today I felt compelled. There are a few options when it comes to office replacement apps that can read and write all your docs, presentations, and spreadsheets - most of them costing over $10. I've been eyeing OfficeSuite for a while, but never really bothered to try it out.
It looks like Gameloft has done it again, cooking up an awesome new game for Android. The makers of such hits as BackStab, and the N.O.V.A. series, released today the first official launch trailer for their new game - Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation.
The Modern Combat series is one of the "most acclaimed FPS games on Android," bringing polished, action-packed, first person gameplay to the palm of your hand. The series aims to immerse the player in a "modern war experience," taking you to detailed, polished environments, and providing you with plenty of challenges, along with enough weapons to get the job done effectively.

Well, it happened - the slide-to-unlock patent Apple has been requesting was granted this morning by the US Patent & Trademark Office, meaning almost any device in America using a sliding unlock mechanism is now infringing on Apple's patent unless otherwise ruled.
While the timing may seem a bit suspicious, Apple originally filed for the patent in 2005. Have a look at this excerpt from the granted patent document:
A device with a touch-sensitive display may be unlocked via gestures performed on the touch-sensitive display.
There's been a lot of buzz over Sprint's LTE plans lately, but the company's vice president of network development and engineering, Iyad Tarazi has just added more fuel to the fire, indicating that Sprint plans to deploy LTE-Advanced in a 10x10 configuration by the first half of 2013, using its 800MHz spectrum, offering download speeds of around 12-15 MB/s.
Meanwhile, Sprint's deployment of LTE on their 1900MHz spectrum is still on track for commercial launch by mid-2012.
If you're a GO Launcher EX user and the recently updated WidgetLocker isn't your thing, then you may want to check out GO Locker to get your lockscreen mod fix. The initial release hit the Market earlier today -- I took a few minutes to play with it, and, while it's not as polished as WidgetLocker, it's still a very nice option. The fact that it integrates directly into GO Launcher EX is quite nice, too; of course, this could also be a negative since it can't be used as a standalone app.
WidgetLocker is no stranger to the spotlight -- it's easily the most popular lockscreen replacement app on the Market. With good reason, too: it's highly customizable and allows you actually make good use of the otherwise useless lockscreen.
TeslaCoil Software, the creative minds behind WidgetLocker, pushed the newest version of the app to the Market just a bit ago, and with it came some really nice features to an already incredible app, like the ICS, Honeycomb, and Sense 3 Unlock sliders -- and they all work perfectly.
Wind-Up Knight is a high-end 3D action game that will destroy you. That is the first sentence of the Market listing for the new game from development team Robot Invader. Pretty big words to live up to, don't you think? Whether it will actually destroy me or not will have to be seen, but, after watching the gameplay trailer, I can safely say that it looks awesome.
Impressive, no? It has more to offer than smooth side-scrolling graphics and a quirky-cute aesthetic appeal, too.
If, like me, you have always wanted a good data sync solution for your Android device, then we have a new app for you to check out. It's called My Sync Center, and it syncs data between your device and PC using your local Wi-Fi connection. This allows you to keep certain data up-to-date regardless of which device you're using, easily backup photos and videos, keep copies of your Titanium Backup files, and more.
