The Nexus 10 might be getting a little long in the tooth, but it still has the best screen you'll find on a 10-inch Android tablet. Google is still asking $399 for the 16GB N10, but eBay Daily Deal has it for a mere $339.99. This is a brand new item – not a refurb or open box unit.
The Nexus 10 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and will probably continue to get updates for another year or so. Read More
Say whatever you like about Sony, but it's hard to deny that their high-end phones look great. Case in point: the unannounced Honami, which is almost certainly the successor to last year's Xperia Z flagship. The folks at XperiaBlog got their hands on a collection of official rendered press photos, and this thing looks fantastic.
The Honami was previously reported as having the retail title of "Xperia i1," but now it's going by "Xperia Z1." Read More
There can no longer be any denying it – Sony is about to announce a self-contained camera inside a lens that attaches to your smartphone. The Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 lens camera modules have been spotted a few times, but this is the largest cache of pictures so far.
It's a holiday here in the US, but we're still hard at work scouring the Internet for deals on Android apps and games. How about a little appreciation, huh? Well, here are the sales anyway.
Update: It looks like stock for the online store is depleted. If you've got a Fry's store near you, you might still be able to select in-store pickup. Here's a list of retail locations.
Happy Labor Day, Americans! Today is the day we celebrate unwise imbibing on a three-day weekend, billion-dollar retailers hosting sales that ironically force many of their employees to work, the nigh-limitless lobbying power of unions, and oh yeah, laborers. Read More
The Chinese mobile market is an interesting thing. There are a lot of low-end phones, but there are a number of premium handsets always in the pipe that really couldn't work anywhere else – they usually look like iPhones and have somewhat unusual features. Such is the case with the new Meizu MX3.
This device has a 5.1-inch 1800x1080 screen, which is 15:9 instead of 16:9. Around back is an 8MP camera and a smooth rounded casing. Read More
The HTC Butterfly S is not too unlike the HTC One, just with a larger screen, a slightly more powerful processor, and a micro SD card slot. With its 3200mAh battery, this is a beefier phone for people with perhaps more demanding needs than HTC's flagship phone can satisfy. It still has 2GB of RAM, the same UltraPixel camera, Beats Audio sound, and the latest version of Sense. The catch? Read More
Finally, Android is not a second-class citizen. LEGO has released three new apps (okay, one of them is a game) for the Mindstorms EV3 robotics set in Google Play, just as promised back at CES. It's fitting, too. We're all just a bunch of robots around here.
The Mindstorms 3D Builder app is a handy 3D instruction booklet that tells you how to build the stock robots with the EV3 kit. Read More
Most manufacturers tend to be coy when it comes to release dates, especially when it's customers asking rather than press or investors. But Chinese manufacturer Oppo sometimes shoots from the hip, as they did with a recent Google+ post. When asked about release dates from an inquisitive poster, someone using the official account replied with a general target release for two upcoming devices, the N1 and Find N7.
The N1 was recently leaked in all its minimalist glory, and though specs are thin on the ground, it looks like a contender for a flagship device with a relatively large screen. Read More
