Today we have many apps and watch faces, some of them are just for fun and others might be genuinely useful.

Sony's Smart Bluetooth Speaker BSP60 Is A Cutesy €299 Amazon Echo Alternative

Along with its Xperia Z4 Tablet announcement at MWC, Sony unveiled a set of accessories including this adorable little thing. Officially dubbed the "Smart Bluetooth® Speaker BSP60," this round black ball that slightly looks like Mickey Mouse's head if his ears were squashed (or the 8 ball in pool, or the pendulum's head in Beauty And The Beast, or maybe a black version of Eve's head in Wall-E) is an alarm, a 2.5W Bluetooth speaker, and a voice assistant.

Hands-On With The Blu Vivo Selfie, Energy X Plus, And Studio C 5+5

Earlier this week, Blu announced a handful of new phones: the Vivo Selfie, Studio C 5+5, Studio C 5+5 LTE, and Energy X Plus. Each handset has something that makes it stand out from the others, and all of them come in at the low price points that we've come to expect from Blu. In short, we've got a thin and light phone made for selfies, a pair of ultra-affordable devices with dual 5MP shooters, and one with a battery that's in it for the long haul.

I've had three of the four for the last few days, with the only exception being the 5+5 LTE since it's virtually identical to the 5+5, just with the addition of LTE.

Sony Expands [email protected] Compatibility To Lollipop And Non-Xperia Devices, Though It's Still Incompatible With Many

Sony's [email protected] app turns your Android device into a weapon in the war against diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's by contributing your spare computing power to research. It entered the Play Store in early January as a beta exclusively available to certain Xperia phones. Now Sony is expanding the experience to other hardware, including devices running Android Lollipop.

Here you can see [email protected] running on my HTC One M7, a non-Sony device with the latest version of Android.

While it's nice to see [email protected] opened up, the app is still incompatible with tablets and slightly older devices such as the Nexus 4, the Galaxy Nexus, and the Galaxy Note II (the Nexus 5 and the Note 3 are supported though).

Sony Xperia ZL, Xperia Z LTE, Xperia ZR LTE, And Xperia Tablet Z Get Their Android 5.0 OTA Updates

Some of Sony's older hardware (well, relatively speaking, anyway) is getting updated to Lollipop today. If you own an Xperia Z (LTE model), Xperia ZR (LTE model), Xperia ZL, or Xperia Tablet Z, all released in 2013, check your status bar for an over-the-air update. According to Xperia Blog and the always-reliable XDA, all four of these devices are being upgraded as of now. As usual, it may take a few days or even a week or two for the rollout to reach you.

The various models range from prolific to somewhat niche, but it seems like the updates are going out to most or all countries simultaneously.
