A couple of hours ago, Google started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update to a very limited subset of Nexus devices (build JDQ39). At this point, almost nobody can get the OTA pulled by going through the Settings screen, but don't worry - one of our loyal readers extracted the OTA url for the Galaxy Nexus and sent it over to us (great work, Daniel Koch!).

Nexus owners may have a reason to stay up tonight, as a couple of Reddit users report that Android 4.2.2 has begun rolling out to the GSM Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7.

Activision has invited players to "say Hello to the BIG BALLS" (emphasis not added, we promise) with Wipeout, the Pitfall maker's latest entry into the Play Store.
The game is based on ABC's television show of the same name, in which contestants (typically in colorful dress) haphazardly schlep through various obstacles including big balls, swinging platforms, "topple towers," and various rubberized battering instruments. Activision's game looks to bring that experience to your mobile device, giving you the fun of trying to avoid wipeouts, while also retaining the option to view them in super slow motion and snap screenshots.

If you're the owner of an LG myTouch or myTouch Q, you'll be receiving a small OTA update in the neat future that adds some "security enhancements" to your device. And that means you'll probably lose root. The update version for the myTouch is V10u-FEB-11-2013, and the myTouch Q is LGC800-V10x-FEB-11-2013. Last week we told you about Pebble Notifier, an app that allows Tasker to send updates to the Pebble smartwatch over Bluetooth. Developer Dattas Moonchaser has updated the plugin to a full, independent app: you no longer need Tasker to send updates to your watch. (You'll still need the official Pebble app.) As you probably know, while Tasker is an incredibly powerful piece of software, it's also very difficult to learn and master, so the update should make it useful for a larger percentage of Pebble owners.
